When the new limited-time halloween book opened, I get a couple of rewards for completing some chapters of the limited time book.

I ranked up a couple of monsters in the book to complete the same chapters in rank 1 and rank 2 monsters. But I did not get any rewards for that. Is this supposed to be like this? What is the point of the limited time book if there is no reward for completing chapters in this book?

I am confused about your post. Did you rank up all the monsters in that chapter? If so then yes you are entitled to the rewards listed at the bottom of that chapter. If not, then all the monsters in that chapter have to be the required rank, not just some of them.

I got nothing for ranking all up to 2*. There's a footnote saying rewards might not be awarded for limited time books

Also tried rank up to see if we could get same rewards multiple times, but nothing. Think this limited special halloween book stays best as only 1 time per page considering all the orbs and stuff at end chapters

I suggest you send in a ticket to support to ask them if you should be receiving the rewards.

I can confirm that you only receive the rewards once per chapter.

you only get rewards for having the monsters, not for ranks though.

Yes, don't rank your monsters, there are no additional rewards for that.
