For the last couple of months our team has done poorly in wars. We've been losing 3 out of 4. Despite the losses in war, we are now ranked higher today than we were two months ago.
Ranked about 280 now. Ranked about 380 two months ago.
I am trying to figure out an explanation for this? I notice that immediately after a loss we lose a few places in rank. Then, between wars, we slowly creep back up to higher than we were before in ranking.
The way I see it, if we just keep losing 3 out of 4, we'll be in the top 10 teams within a year!
Our losses aren't because we aren't trying. We have good participation. We just keep getting matched up with team after team that is simply more powerful than us. I guess our bad matchups aren't surprising since we keep moving up in the ranks while our losses are piling up one after another.
So what am I missing here? Is there a "trick" to getting better matchups? Honestly, I don't even care about the ranking anymore. I just want to stop getting pounded in wars time and time again. Logically, it would seem that if we kept losing wars, we would drop in the ranking and then our matchups would get easier, no?
