Purchased Kindergarten for 50 gems.. what a surprise when I discovered that it's only for 5 baby dragons.. is this a joke..? 5 really. .
Luckily I spent 50gems instead of full price of 100gems due to promotion.. But 100 gems for 5 babies.. first of all. .there is no a single piece of information how many babies you can store..for the price I was expecting at least 15 or 20.. but 5..is waist of gems and space on island..

Post count: 11361Reputation: 6963Joined:Location: New Jersey, USAPfft sorry but I disagree, heck I wish they were ALL 50 gems before I purchased them. I LOVE my kindergardens I can put anything in them, which helps to keep my babies together who I want to work with or when I run out of room and in the middle of prepping habs.

Post count: 391Reputation: 149Joined:They’re especially useful once you hit the habitat cap, but even before that I use them as temporary holding areas for the newly hatched. And for dragons I don’t plan to keep, but are still around so they can be fed in races.
Being able to hold any dragon is a substantial organizational convenience. You wouldn’t want all 6 until you hit the cap though.
Also remember that, even though they LOOK like babies, that is a purely visual effect. They can get leveled up there just like a normal habitat. There’s no penalty attached in any way.

It's because of that misconception that I refused to buy it when I first started playing.
That, and the amount of friends needed to unlock it.Friends to unlock it? There are no friends needed for the kindergarten? Or have they changed the requirements?

Back in the day, you needed 6 friends to help build it, like you would do for an Ice or Metal Habitat.
But at least it cost Gold.Aah I forgot about that, but 6 friends was nothing to get, I miss the days when they sold for gold. I got my first three for gold. When they first introduced it they messed up and allowed you to store it, so you could store it and buy another one for the same price in gold. If I would have thought they would increase the number you could have, I would have purchased more but if memory serves they closed that hole up very quickly.

The me back in high school wishes they had friends that played this game.
But yeah, knowing the stuff I know now, I think I would have gotten way more dragons and items than I do have now. -

Of course nowadays fb has made it much harder to create gaming accounts and I hear they are on the hunt to get rid of "fake" accounts, I just hope my main gaming accounts do not get deleted since I have invested so much into them and they are in my alliance. Since they are "free" accounts for the most part I won't be too upset over their loss but it will hurt.

Kindergarten 50gems for 5 babies only..it's a joke
Post count: 7Reputation: 0Joined:@nynaevelan With all due respect, he wasn't talking about the Kindergartens not being usefull, he's saying that it's not worth 50 gems (unless you're a pay2win player with lots of money to burn). I've been playing Dragon City for around 3 weeks now, and one thing I've noticed is there's NEVER a disclosure before taking an action. Like when you breed, it doesn't say how long your dragons will be breeding for, so you don't know if it's worth it to keep your important dragons busy for something like 15 - 24 hours in many cases without knowing BEFORE you do it. Same thing with training, why can't Social Point disclose how long a training is about to take before you start it and find out it's 2 days to train, and you can't even cancel it (say, for a gold price). Same thing with breeding, you can't cancel it. If you're gonna sell something for 50 - 100 gems (which is ALOT for many of us), please disclose the number of dragons it can hold.

Breeding - No it will not tell you how long the breeding time is prior to clicking that breeding button but you do get a time for the length of the breed after you click it so I am not sure what the "disclosure" here is that you are looking for. And it would make no sense for them to offer the time prior to you clicking that button for one main reason: everyone would click cancel if it was not for the time that they were looking for, not very profitable for them.
training - as with the breeding you do not get a time for when a training will last but it tells you the time after you start your training. FYI training is one of two times, 24 hours or 48 hours.
Kindergarden: p2p or f2p is irrelevant here because neither type of player will purchase anything whether they earned the gems or purchased them unless they think the purchase is worth the cost. As the saying goes "one person's trash is another's treasure". Just because you, the OP or anyone else does not find it worth the cost does not negate the fact that others will find it worth the cost. This is a multipurpose building and many players use it for different reasons. With that said yes it might be helpful if it was stated how many dragons it could hold. Though to have an expectation of it holding more than 5 or 6 at the most dragons when there are no starter habs that hold such is kind of unrealistic. FYI it only holds 5 dragons.
As a player who has been playing for a mere 3 weeks perhaps it would be in your best interest to do some research on the features/costs/process of things so that you can get the most out of the game without making some of the mistakes and snafu's that could trip you up. dragoncityguide DOT net is the best resource. Searching this forum also has some valuable information and finding a reliable facebook group or two is also a valuable resource. Yes is some more info that SP can add to make the game more transparent but it is highly unlikely they would be able to "disclose" all the different information that different types of players would want.
EDIT: This post alone would give beginners a healthy start on valuable information.
