This is something I was thinking and wondering since I talked with @Ekto-Gamat that more than 4 monsters can't fit in the habitats. Let's say I agree that the game will break/slow in many devices if more than 4 monsters, with full animations, are present on each habitat. What about introducing a new island + increasing the max habitats to 100 (now is 90)? Is this busted too ? I mean many many players will be jubilant, including myself, to know that they can have 40 more legendaries out in their islands instead of the Vault.

I would love move room as well beside the vault which gets expansive. I can’t think of a valid reason for the increasing gem costs to unlock slots when it is purely a store and we get no benefit (gold production) from anything in there.
@Fox just for interest sake is it possible we can get a list of top 10 most used devices?

1 - Give an option in the habitats to deactivate the animations ( Where are the options to sell, information, create "Show animation" where you can on/off the option)
Then, you can have 10 habitats with animations and 80 deactivations that improve the performance of your cell phone, tablet, etc.
To feed or find a monster they will be able to do it by going to the pvp menu to change the attack and look for the monster, etc.Sorry for my English, I hope you can understand the idea.

This way they could make the habitats store more than 4 monsters, even for some gems (like 5-10 gems per space). -

The animation is a big mess as it is, so when I look for a certain monster I use the monstagram or the list in pvp. So, the habitats could very well contain 5 or even 6 monsters, even if the animation would only show 4 monsters.
I am sorry, but the problem with old devices is just an excuse. The high price for Vault space is the proof that the real issue is SP trying to limit the number of monsters we'd be able to host for free. You pay or you gonna have to sell some monsters, which we all hate to do. I understand the idea, but let's be honest about it and not blame it on some animation.
Fingers crossed for this new feature they promise, which could reverse this policy. But I am afraid it is going to be some kind of monthly subscription or pass.

I agree - a new Island once in a while effectively increasing capacity with 40 monsters should be possible and cannot be a problem for those spending on the Vault as well. After all: we all have spend gems on the vault (after first selling out monsters just to find out we need them for books, Team Battlefield etc).
As I documented many month ago some players solved the limitations of 4 Legendary monsters in one habitat (they had many more than 4 and not just Ls). So it is not a technical problem.
Change of design? Hmm, be carefull - there are so many games "out there" that look like clones of {ok, I will not name them here}, so to be inspired by others is ok, but to be a copycat can be leathal. -

Well, many games does that. Game is a "living" entity, especially MMOs. They always evolve and change, you can't really plan ahead for 4-5 years and stick to that. You can always prove me wrong with some game examples that did planned EVERYTHING from the beginning. Much bigger titles than ML have rebooted their core mechanics. A simple example is D3's real money AH that was in-game from the beginning but was ditched in later date. The purpose of this post is to try find a middle solution through dialog, instead of just bashing SP for their "greediness".
I'm not a Veteran, I started playing the game roughly a year ago and haven't seen any reinvention of the game the last 6-12 months (recently controlled status effects should have been in-game from the beginning, if this is your example of major game changes). I still see the same Mazes, the same Races (with some node tweaks), the same ridiculously expensive Progressive Islands,the same Breeding Events..
You can't have everyone happy, this is a fact. Let's just be logical and a bit more constructive

Sorry, not trying to belittle anyone here, especially, since I've seen a few heated posts on the forum, recently...(sigh). Someone recently posted a screenshot of some SP rep stating that something is on the horizon at the end of February... it's hard not to be underwhelmed by SP's announcements

Unless they increase the max level to 1000 and introduce one new adventure island every 2 weeks/ 1 month, and of course more ways of increasing the level. Now this I have a problem with, if they are going to give out free slots then it should be the same across the board. In all honesty this vault was a great idea that was executed VERY, VERY badly!! They need to just give everyone 10 free slots and change the cost of slots to gold. This is one thing that DC definitely has done better than ML.
They also need to just adopt DC's hab leveling that increases levels for another 5 levels. Getting the tokens for them is a slow, tedious process but at least it is doable without draining your non-growing gems. If I had to pick a feature which will drive me away from ML, it is this one right here. It is bad enough high level players have a hard time collecting monsters then you add in the fact that it will cost you just as much if not more to have somewhere to put those monsters but these two features encourages the collectors of the game to just cut your losses and move on. Which is why I barely play the game, my participation in events are sporadic at best, and now the features I ignore are outpacing those that I don't.
Woo didn't realize I had such a rant in me.....good thing I have other games to occupy my time and funds.

This would create so much inequity, and no I do not think there should be keys given for levels that are not eligible. In other words keys should not be given out to levels lower than level 70. But why should some players get 80 keys while others get 100? Even as a higher player who would get 150 keys based on this theory, I think this will create so much uproar in the community. Even if you only count the levels starting at 70 for a level 150 player that would be 80 keys and do you really think the devs would do something like this? Especially for devs who have not been programming this game with the user base in mind. Pft we would be lucky if they gave us 5 free slots, if memory serves didn't the vault open with only 2 or 3 free slots??
But to get back to the original start of this convo,look at the fact that they are making this "improvement" and tying it to level ups knowing that a large portion of the community has no level ups and it is this portion of the community that needs the vault slots the most proves that they have no clue about their community base or any intention of doing any development for the community's benefit rather than theirs.
Oh and if they are going to give out free slots in large numbers they will have A LOT of complaints from users who spent large amounts of gems on them, and I will most likely be a part of that mob.

EXACTLY!! I truly think they develop these features for the naive newbies....which is why there are new chests every single day. And features like the Treasure Cave. And my skepticism is thinking these mutant runes will be just the same.

Vault started with 2 open slots. When I bought the vault I nearly chucked my phone when I saw it cost gems to unlock more than 2 slots. Glad my kids were not within hearing distance...
Curious, what fix could be implemented to the space issue that would not cause a lot of complaining from users who are heavily invested in the vault?
This puts the devs in a corner; the community is crying for more affordable space for monsters but be careful that the solution doesn't cause an uproar from those who already bought lots of space with gems but, still, give us affordable space, just remember some spent lots of gems already so... it should fair to them, but not cost gems.
I do understand that it would be frustrating to have spend piles of gems on vault slots only to see people later on getting those for free. I would guess the way out is to give some type of reward to those already invested in the vault, something like how the master of paths scroll rewards work. For every 5 or 10 slots open, you get an incrementally better chest filled with runes and elemental cells? Doubtful.

It's true that if I had 3-400 free slots I'd probably not have bought the other slots, but I did get some time-value out of the slots already and will still have 80 slots more to utilize later. If they decided to refund all of our previous spending that would be awesome, but I don't expect it and won't be disappointed unless they don't properly distribute keys to everyone.
