Dear community,

Our Dragon collection keeps growing and we are always happy to see your reactions when a new dragon is released. However, we still have a deep appreciation for a lot of dragons we have released in the past, which don’t get to come out and play that much anymore.

We want to change this in the future and bring back some community favorites for all of you to enjoy together. But we need your help!

While discussing this, we discovered that each member of the team favored different dragons for different reasons, so we decided to ask you all directly to help us decide.

To kick things off, we want to ask you 2 very simple questions:

• Which are your all-time top 5 dragons?
• Why do you include them in your list?

Reasons for including them can range from anywhere in design, feel and look, to the Arena performance or just because you missed out and want them in your collections!

We’ll be revisiting this topic in the future, as we want to get as much feedback as possible, but we thought this would be a great way to get the ball rolling.

So, let us know what your favorite dragons are and let’s see if we can shine a spotlight on them once more in Dragon City.

1. Draluxe. Owned. This is my favourite dragon for appearance. She looks like a dragon, nice colouring, with only a bit of light armour. And she's a decent fighter too.
2. Savior. Not owned yet. Another I like for appearance.
3. Ultimate. Not owned yet. Still collecting orbs for this. I expect it will be a great fighter.
4. High Purity. Not owned yet. Would like to add to my heroic collection for battles.
5. Archaic. Not owned yet. Wanted to choose a VIP dragon for the list.
   

Hmmm, this will be hard but....

1. Lil Cricket - obviously to honor my friend and fellow moderator.
2. Vulcan - I like battling with him and his look.
3. High Tension - another battling favorite.
4. Bookday - as an intensive reader I like his bookish look.
5. Wisdom - same as bookday.

Now since sci fi/fantasy is my favorite genre if a dragon is released that is both medieval and bookish I would be a happy dragon mistress.

My top 5:
1- High Score- He is a pure gamer and so am I
2- Wingspan- I just love his design and cuteness
3- Demolition- One of the best design changes, I love the thunderbolts and colour scheme
4- Sacred Dragon- Amazing Design, sadly missed out
5- Alien Lurker- The colour scheme is amazing and it shows some of the oddest of creatures can make a difference.

I would have thought for sure Space Being would be on your list.

• Little Cricket dragon for obvious reasons
• Royal Phoenix - one of my fighters before the empowerment feature. I love the design.
• Felidae - I've wait so long for this dragon. The mix between feline + dragon was amazing.
• beholder - very nice design
• infinity - The colour pallete, design and shape are amazing.

On a side note, Flesh was on my list before the color change. It would be so good if the new color were similar to the original, the green is terrible.

I agree, I also loved the change in iron dragon (the new cyber dragon)

@nynaevelan Well, it sure got close but we are limited to 5... plus it would have been kind of obvious, look at my name so I kind of said 6 Dragons.

I'll do my top-five that I don't have.

High Celestial (Heroic) - The most beautiful Heroic. I love the design and it has a good combination of elements. Would pay real money for this dragon.

Poisonous (Legendary) - Love this guy. Great design and great elements. Have not seen it offered at all since I started playing.

Book (Legendary) - Great design, great elements. I wasn't able to do the hard track due to being a new player and not having enough cannon fodder. Really hoping this guy makes another appearance around Halloween!

Crested Fae (Epic) - The first dragon I really fell in love with! Great color combinations and who could say no to a fishy friend? I think this one was in the shop when I first started playing, before I knew anything about gems or buying dragons. Would love another chance at her.

Cake (Epic) - I missed this guy when the orb quest was up and I regret it every day! I'll not miss him again.

Let's see...the only reason this list exists is because I missed out on them, so I'll go based off of design.

1. High Score: Pretty much embodies a Dragon City player. Overall, he looks cool.
2. High Resolution: Ah, spritework. It reminded me of the animated sprites from Pokemon Black and White.
3. High Spirits: Birb. Just...Birb.
4. High Queen: Was expecting a nine-tailed-fox-like dragon when it was originally announced as the "High Kitsune Dragon".
5. High Fighter: Obviously inspired by Akuma from Street Fighter, so he got hit with changes because of the similarities.

Honorary Mention time.

6. High Star: From an ordinary Star Dragon, to Super Star, and now a Heroic Dragon. The High Star Dragon is an interesting case of it being related to one of the oldest Dragons in the game.

1. The Kumk'u Dragon - This is the only VIP dragon I've bought, and got it to rank 2 after spending some gems to speed up the quest timers. Very solid elements and a spammable, high base damage attack in Legend Spell. Its design is pretty good and attack animation is faster than average.

2. Blue Alien Dragon - This is the first dragon I've ever spent gems on, and this was back in the day when Pure had no weaknesses and Legend could critical hit itself. Solid elements, solid design before and after changes, and I love its attack animation.

3. Supersonic Dragon - This is the first legend dragon I've bred. In my opinion it is one of the best breedable legendaries since it can critical hit 7 different elements. Mine is currently at rank 3, and can go toe to toe with most heroics.

4. High Purity Dragon - Don't have it, but I really like its fast and cool attack animation and design. Its elements also have perfect 7-element coverage.

5. Dracon Dragon - Possibly the best non-heroic dragon.

It's a bit difficult to choose just 5 but if I stick strictly to what I own and consider only their design instead of fighting skills, they will be:

Beholder, Sylvan, Vainglorious, Heaven, and High Octane.

Let's also make a Top-5 of the ugliest dragons that should never have been born:

Mojito, Cupcake, Spicy, Icecube, and Poo... but the Oscar goes to the Anniversary

I like my best fighters:
High Celestial although it is ugly,
High Reverie and High Zephyr,
and because of the design Evanescent Fae and Conquest.
But the ultimate one and my favorite will always be this one - the real Pure

I heard rumors that back when the Light & War Update was planned, they were planning on adding in an Ancient Element alongside them. However, the assets that they made for them got reused for other stuff already in the game:
-The Ancient Dragon design got applied as the new Pure Dragon design.
-The Ancient Habitat was scrapped.
-The Big Ancient Habitat was applied as the Legendary Habitat we now see today.
-The Ancient Element design was applied as the new Legendary Element design (the infinity symbol).

As an aside, the Ancient Dragons we see today were probably not what they were planning on doing. If I had to assume, the Primal Element is more likely to be the original idea of the Ancient Element (weaknesses & resistances notwithstanding).

I dont know. They changed it long ago. Many players were not amused.

My top 5:

1. Wisdom Dragon. I don't have him, but his design is probably the best Epic dragon design alongside Masked.
2. Masked Dragon. Awesome design, Awesome elements, available straight from Alliance Chest, I Wish i had him.
3. Equilibrium Dragon. He is my first Pure element dragon and holds sentimental value for me. Awesome design and animations, and as a fighter, I love that he has Pure defensive element.
4. Tie between Yggdrasil and High Celestial. No matter how bad his elements are, he is the awe-inspiring God of Nature. High Celestial has beautiful design and great elements. I wish had both of them.
5. Millennium Dragon. My first legendary, my best fighter, and the best breedable legendary. Category 5 is not bad at all. He is my best Memory Maker of Dragon City. He is breedable, so he is easy to rank up. Once he is Lvl 70, 5 stars, and A+, he is Semi Heroic.

Typically I prefer the more dragonish looking dragons (thus do not like Platform, Fur, Evil Pumpkin, etc.) ... however, for sentimental reasons, the first three of my Top 5 are:

Neo Kira because it was the first dragon I was able to effectively fight with.

Dracon was my second effective fighter; with Neo, we continued to win fairly regularly (until we leveled up to where we were being pitted against level 30’s+)

Next sentimental pick is High Reverie ... my first Heroic Race dragon win.

Then come the (current) wish list dragons:

Root because of the awesome design.

Hellgate, again, for the terrific design.

High Entity - my favorite for fighting

Yggdrasil - One of the prettiest dragons, it looks like a dragon, it's my only fighter with the primal element

Dark Sky - my only VIP - the only reason I have it is because it was a prize in the Season Maze. It is also my favorite of all the VIPs because of looks.

Forge - Mostly a sentimental favorite. My first level 40 with 3 gold stars. Still used for fighting in the current arena.

Unity - Another sentimental favorite. Still use for fighting. One of only two useful empowered dragons that I have. Only one star, but every little bit helps.

Honorable mention
Boulder - good for fighting, two star empowerment
Void - don't have it, but want it. I like it looks

There a lot of dragons that are among my favorites only because I like their looks.
Hundreds of dragons & a small percentage are truly useful.

They need to be broken down between functionality and looks, because let's face it, there's not one that has the best of both, so here are my favorites.

For looks only:

1. Shycon - for the costume design.
2. Beholder - for the color and beauty.
3. Origin - huge and intimidating. Not a bad fighter too, except for that Soul element.
4. Noble - pick for best female design. Simple, but very elegant.
5. Trihorn - very complicated to look at, but that is my kind of thing. I like things over the top. Good color too.

For fighting ability:

1. High Reverie - best overall for the Heroic class. Better than Celestial, because he doesn't have the redundant element. He cannot be critically hit without returning a critical hit by any heroic.
2. Ultimate - cannot be critically hit, and has all special attacks.
3. Phantom - cannot be critically hit, and was available in the shop without limit, so he could be leveled up to 70... which is why I did just that.
4. High Zephyr - heroic defending Primal, was empowerable, and difficult to get, because it had to be won from the alliance race.
5. Abyss - defends Light, but has a Dark counter attack. Can be defeated by Nature, but he also has a counter attack for that - Flame... AND Ice. One of the best elementally stacked regular dragons in the game, and hard to beat. Can be bred in the Sanctuary fairly easily for empowerment, which I highly recommend doing. The only way he could be better is if his Ice attack was changed to War, to counter the Flame defense.

My all time favorites are:

1. Apocalypse. Cool, cute, powerful, breedable, beautiful, nice lore, design and elements, and he’s my most monstrous powerhouse! He’s stronger than a heroic at the same level and he’s not even done empowering!
2. Little cricket. I remember when we made it, and it was made in honor of one of the most wonderful people on this forum.
3. High commander. I love how the design incorporates cartoony and realistic styles, and it’s super fun to use!
4. Wind. I’ve been trying for her for 6 years, and she’s so beautiful, mystical and enchanting that I won’t give up breeding for her.
5. All the other 4-elements dragons. I’m very close to them, use them and love them all!
   Honorable mentions are paradise, nenufar, Legacy, durukuru, golem, lightbeam, depth, explosive, equinox, waterfall, pure dark, crystal, Drace and jellyfish.

I have tweaked my list a little. I will say if I own it or not and why I like it.
1- Alien Lurker Dragon (Not Owned)

I love the Yellow and Purple Colours and the odd appearance, because that’s what aliens should be like. I like all the Galactic Island Dragons but this one tops the list.

2- Valentine Dragon (Trying to Breed)

Look at those big eyes! And the red all over him with the adorable heart friend! I have been trying for ages with no luck but one day I will succeed. One day...

3- Space Being Dragon (Owned)

Look at my name! This dragon has an amazing style and I fell in love with the red eyes and green tentacle like body parts. She was one of my first dragons and she has sentimental value to me.

4- Dragotron (Not Owned)

When he was first released in UFO Island, he was right at the end so I couldn’t get him for free. He has a permanent quest now but it’s the level requirements that stop me. (I’m only on Genius Cup)

5- Mighty Dragon (Owned)

He is just so cool looking... and rare. I was just lucky to have Neo Izumi and Neko on Hand already when his breeding event began. I’ve taught him Ninja Stars, Legend Spell and Deus Axe + and he is one of my best.

In random order my favourites are:

1. Nirvana - She's just terribly beautiful. I love her great mane, the colours, the gold, the eyes.. ah!

2. Archaic - He's just cool. Very cool. I love it.

3. Atlantis - Besides him having great design, it was also my first good fighter and he has been really effective. (The only one of the five I have)

4. High Feral - I love the ferocious look of the dinosaur and I would just love to use him for battle!

5. Millium - The design!? Perfect!

Not in any particular order but I like Drummer / Apocalypse / Abyss / High Superstition and High Queen. I own Drummer Apocalypse and Abyss missed out on the Superstition & Queen. Hopefully will have them some day.

Here is my top 5 favorite dragons:-

1. Golem dragon:- This dragon is my first epic at beginning. I was at level 7 back then.

2.High Fenrir dragon:- My first heroic dragon and I claimed him at the very first heroic race at player level 23.

3.Dracon dragon:- He looks awesome and a strong dragon with strong moves.

4.High Feral dragon:- He is amazing and my strongest primal attacker

5.Elusive dragon:- Didn't summon him yet but he has a great design
