The bigger picture...to create a "normal" mutant rune, it takes 3 lvl Xs, to create a "special" mutant rune, it airs 4 lvl Xs... because at L1 - L2, they're the ones that matter...this was a huge mistake to introduce...by people who don't play the game. First, you're telling players to sacrifice lvl X runes, then you're saying, "it's ok, we'll reduce swapping out lvl X runes by 10 gems" (& yes, reduction includes lvl 8 & 9 runes too), oh, but it's ok, we'll just keep selling lvl X runes, now at 575 gems, or for cash with some monsters or in 8s, & yes, we have another way for you to obtain them...once a month...but only if you spend your gems buying orbs to play some dungeon to get the lvl X...none of these offers compensate for expecting players to sacrifice 3-4 lvl X runes to craft these mutant runes...how no one at SP didn't think that this was a stretch too far, I don't know...but nevermind, maybe, newer players will be game for these mutant runes with all the costs involved (sigh).
Let me edit this again... apparently, I underestimated the number needed for the "special" mutant runes...6 lvl X runes ...yup, definitely, one of the dumbest decisions made by folk who do not play or understand the game. Yup, I know what I need to do.
