It’s my birthday and I got a drawing tablet! Now I can do art professionally! Since I plan on eventually applying as an artist for DC, I’m going to make a portfolio of all my proudest dragon creations. (Mods, feel free to delete or lock all my old posts in the creativity section as I have improved greatly since most of them were made and now have a better medium to work on, so they don’t reflect my current skill level and style.) Here’s my first work, a quick sketch of my beautiful Apocalypse dragon, Poccy.
I also have this from last week, a little reference sheet (drawn on my iPad using free software) of how different dragon parts are usually drawn and what kinds of dragons they are typically used on.
Hopefully I can improve enough to become a professional artist! In the meantime, enjoy my portfolio.

Also, that was your first? You are such a good artist

Post count: 197Reputation: 77Joined:Man, it’s been a while since I’ve updated this. Here’s my newest creation, Daybreak Dragon! I don’t have time to finish the coloring or to shade, but I might fix it tomorrow.
Edit: meant to be light/wind elements. I thought a good aesthetic would be like that of a sunbeam breaking through a stormcloud.
Edit edit: apparently there is already a daybreak dragon that I forgot about. Sunshaft would be a nice alternative name for it.I have autism and struggle with tone. Sorry if I sound impolite, I don’t mean to!

For starters, programs! Computer programs work way better for me and I’ve been wanting to use them more for a while
I don’t have a Mac computer so I wouldn’t be able to do that Bluetooth thing? Where you can use computer apps on your iPad or whatever The animation options are also better on the computer then the iPad, at least for me anyway.
For second, the texture! I tend to be heavy handed, I push harder to have more control over my lines and not I don’t need to do that on my XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro Drawing Pad With Screen . On my iPad, which has a very slick screen, pushing down makes it slide more, which SUCKS!! I can animate and do more art with my new bb and its so freaking awesome.
For third, the pen! Aaaa I love love LOVE the pen! It’s so comfortable to hold, the buttons are nice, and I’m obsessed with the battery free/ no charge addition to the pen.
Finally, the hotkeys! The zoom wheel! Aaaa such an easy short cut! It makes it so much easier to do little things! Aaaa it makes me so happy
. . . For me the only downside is that it needs to be connected to the computer/laptop which makes it a lot less easy to move it around, though that’s what you usually will get from drawing tablets :
