Hello everyone and welcome to my 238th analysis, this time featuring "Shademoon".
Overview: "Shademoon" has a flexible moveset featuring buff removals, Nanovirus, Guard Down, an exclusive Possession, and an extra turn skill that refreshes his CDs, allowing him to apply the aforementioned debuffs very often. "Shademoon" also gets Mechanical Hater with said extra turn skill, which can be very destructive in Wars featuring monsters from that book. At Rank 3, "Shademoon"'s power level rises greatly thanks to the added Dodge Area SC. "Shademoon"'s Speed is also good for an attacker at 3476, outspeeding threats like Wyrmlad, Zizania and...Shademoon.
Build:
Movesets:
-Avoid Exposure
-Always Watching You!
-Destroy Spy Ninjas
-PZ Virus/Spy Devices/Hack The Tube
Runes: 2 Strength 1 Speed
Mutant Rune options: Strength&Life, Speed&Life
Relics: Masks and Swords
Build Explanation:
Avoid Exposure is an AOE Blind + Nanovirus, and it has a good Base Power of 40. Always Watching You! removes buffs and applies Guard Down before dealing damage, and given his Rune Spread, he will be able to remove the buffs applied by fast supports after they apply them. Destroy Spy Ninjas refreshes "Shademoon"'s CDs, gives him Mechanical Hater and an extra turn - not only will this allow you to destroy Mechanical monsters, but even if none are present, you can still use this to refresh a move after you used it. In the last slot, PZ Virus is recommended for a nuke, but you can get Spy Devices instead to deal with Dodge Area monsters or to conserve Always Watching You! against Mega Taunts. Hack The Tube is a third option here because it deals good damage, and it applies Hack, an exclusive Possession that goes through Possession Immunity.
2 Strength 1 Speed with Life Mutations is a standard attacker spread.

Countering "Shademoon": "Shademoon" can't use Destroy Spy Ninjas to escape CD Activation since that move has 1 CD. Plus, Anticipstion monsters will halt him when he uses it. Be careful when using Mechanical monsters, as "Shademoon" will make short work of them. For Counter options, check out this article.
