Obviously level is very important, but I'm talking about from 100-130. My attack team currently consists of a level 110 Jasastur (VII Speed 3x), level 115 Ixofex (VII Strength 3x), and level 100 Frostbite (VII Team Speed 3x). I'm kinda struggling a little because a lot of teams can defeat mine even if I manage to possess the enemy Speed Demon, and more often than not I get outsped. I'm currently working on getting a level 130 Laomu which is undoubtedly faster than any level 110 but I'm hesitant to use it in PvP because of its only form of denying being a single target possession. So would a level 130 breedable be better than a level 100-110 "meta" monster?

How important is a monster's level in terms of PvP battling?
Post count: 856Reputation: 408Joined:You could try getting a Mega Taunt monster or Elvira or a monster with Taunt trait alongside with Dodge Area trait monsters to try different strategies, rather than trying to outspeed the enemy team. It worked for me at least.
Also now with the new evolving trait that the new monsters get, level obviously is getting even more important. (I'm not mentioning monsters with 4th tier of skills who obviously need higher level). Besides that, level add more stats so you also get a straightforward buff.
So yes a level 100 Dun Raa is much more useful than a 130 level Laomu.
I hope I haven't misunderstood your question:)

How important is a monster's level in terms of PvP battling?
Post count: 4Reputation: 1Joined:Undoubtedly , especially damage wise. Ever notice how level 100s even with 15k atk cant hit no where near as much as a level 130 with exact same power? Rank means alot for all facets of roles but moreso for attackers. Even at 110 most meta monsters can still wipe the floor with your 130. Simply put their skills , effects , traits and mostly hp and most times speed is completely outdated.
e.g 110 Pierceid vs 130 Laomu

Post count: 0Reputation: 2Joined:@esentis You are right, I'm saving my gems for a Mega Taunter at the moment. I took Laomu into some more PvP battles and possession seems to be even less reliable as sometimes the AI is smart enough to just recharge, so the single target possession is almost useless.
