When I think tokens and events, I think Cain. However, Cain was an amazing elite monster. Hyperia is lackluster at best, I would compare him as a less powerful Dunn 'Ra, and he's not an elite monster. Why not just make an island about him, or maybe a side legendary in a maze?

Hyperia - Excessive?
Post count: 862Reputation: 266Joined:Location: Venezuela@legendary-forums it's going to be a Progressive anyways, the only difference are the tokens needed to access the event. A monster doesn't have to be an Elite to be featured in a Progressive event, Tale in this case. As for the tokens, they're pretty easy to get all 5 of each, the game offers lots of chances to get them all (Monsterwood, Dungeon Tokens, Weekly Timed-Challenges Breeding Event) so that everyone can complete them. Of course, having access to the event doesn't grant you the monster, just a chance to get him/her, so it's all about the costs

Hyperia - Excessive?
Post count: 520Reputation: 284Joined:Yeah this is maybe only the third event like this where you're supposed to collect 5x of 5 different items to unlock the progressive for a new monster. Gorg had one (collecting rabbits), Wyrmlad had one (collecting his... body parts), and this one with Hyperia.
So, while the first 2 occurrences of this type of event did involve Elites, any 2 points can make a line.
I remember years ago, Social Point would release a new monster that wasn't related to the latest progressive or maze event. There might be a special dungeon that rewarded you with a statue of the monster, but the 'release' was just an offer to buy it with gems. There were a whole slew of what they called "Premium" monsters like that. Then they decided to make an event surrounding the monster, make it a bit more fun (and probably dupe us into spending gems- it's easier to get us to drop a few gems at a time during an event when we don't realize how much we're spending vs. a one time several hundred gem purchase).
