Here are some tips to help with the new Runner island.

1. There are 3 limited missions in an 8 hour period. Do not start a mission if you cannot finish it in 8 hours.
2. Practice jumping and moving from lane to lane early on, the running speeds up the farther you go.
3. Collecting items is similar to races and puzzle islands, use the same practices to complete the missions. Which means terra/terra combos work for breeding but like the races you need several to meet all the requirements.
4. When the run speeds up very quickly there are no pinwheels to collect, concentrate on collecting rewards while avoiding the rock obstacles.
5. Skipping missions for gems are expensive here so keep that in mind when you decide to use them.
6. Avoid using Speedy & Greedy`s tower. It might collect all your gold and food without giving you all items.

If you have any tips feel free to share.

We can collect 60 tokens per day and 10 tokens are given in beginning. So we can get a total of 430 tokens. 5 tokens are needed to play and we can get max of 119 pinwheels.

Therefore, we can get total 10,234 pinwheels .
We can get more pinwheels if SP gives us more stamps through freebies and quests. So like heroic races, Its really hard to get those big rewards like legendary and mythical egg chests,runner chests. Unless you buy more tokens, you cant get them.

Edit: You stated in a previous topic that you were not a beta tester so how can you post information regarding what was or was not available as a beta tester. Removing your statement because if it did not come from you then it is coming from an unconfirmed source, which we do not discuss here as has been told to you on many occasions. Please consider this your warning before temp bans are instituted.

This event has already started as a crap event. First it rebooted everytime you claimed a task losing the tokens AND the items required to claim and then it reset to zero. I've given up before I started.

@angiechloe They fixed that in 1 or 2 hours after the event started. It's working properly now.

I’m considering spending money to get that Legend Egg Chest. I’m actually liking this event. I hope they do more.

OMGz... I loathe this game! First, what a struggle just to get flight stamps, and when I finally get all the tasks completed... then trying to actually play the game , which I have always sucked at this kind of game anyway - if I try to slide it jumps, if I try to jump it slides, and since it proceeds to the right on the screen and I'm right-handed I'm always in my own way anyway and can't see anything coming up. So, with a grand total of 172 pinwheels... I give up. I guess I just get that "Vacation" from this game that we're always wishing for... Luckily, I have orbs for Crest +1 star, but I'll just have to hope we can breed the Wind dragons someday.

@dragonlea was just thinking the same thing. right handed people (which i believe is the bulk of the population) can't see squat. it's an awkward event. dragon designs are lazy and looks like any other recycled dragons painted in turquoise.

Yeah i will get some of these rewards by getting my nine year old with way better reflexes to do a few runs. This this one is a pass from me, but I still hate towers the most.

... now that i’m sliding to move rather than tapping to find myself just jumping up ‘n down, i’m making a little progress ... not much cuz, for sure, this is NOT my kind of game to play ... but have noticed a little forward movement on the progress bar

I have been reset to zero pin wheels, too.
I had round about 700 already. I even collected the first egg and it is currently in the hatchery.
I have already contacted support. But, does anyone know if SP is working on a fix? I would like to get my pin wheels back or the flight stamps I used to do it.
I don't need the first dragon several times. I would like to collect the other dragons as well.

This number is stupid. Should be multiplies of 5 to make sense.

@jarozeb ithink we are screwed now. Got an apology but little else. This game was rushed to production and it shows. They need to start doing a little Q&A and not DevOps straight to their user community. Good way to piss us all off.

The mini game is fun actually, I liked a lot.
I was able to catch between 112 to 119 each run (except 2 that I failed for lack of attention).
I also felt the gameplay very smoothly for the swaps and jumps, but sometimes if you are not focusing on the run, you may jump a few times when trying to swap too fast.

My tips:

1. Before you start playing the mini game, put the game in Airplaine Mode (for mobile) and do a couple of test runs until you feel comfortable and understand the mechanics of the swaps and jumps. This way you can train a little bit without spending the tokens.

2. Don't be too greedy, that single one thing between rocks doesn't worth risking the run, so don't try to catch every single item.

3. You can actually jump and immediately go up/down the lane in mid air, that's very useful when you have to jump and there's a rock right after the jump.

4. At the beginning of the race, focus on the purple items, they are what really matters in the event, so forget about that single epic/legend orb you are going to miss, just play safe and go for the purple items.

5. Don't be impatient when changing lanes, sometimes you may want to change before you passed the rock completely and if you change too fast you do lose the run hitting the rock from the side, so wait until you passed the rock at the top/bottom lane, then change to the desired lane.

6. Even tho this is a simple mini-game, don't try to play it when you are tired or sleepy, it still requires you to have some degree of attention, so do it when you are comfortable, focused and rested.

7. Have fun and enjoy your legend wind dragon, you can miss a couple of runs and still get him comfortably if you do every mission for tokens.

me being me I missed the whole first day, so I gotta get every single one of the stamps I can
got the first dragon, probs wont make it to the legendary though.

this is great fun do it again, but maybe make runs a little cheaper or easier to get stamps?

Again why 3 from freebie island. Also still ranting at support to get my 125 back that lost with restart. Typical SP take no responsibility for their mistakes.

How do the missions for free tokens work? I did the battle one, but the other i have is collect gold 3/10 and collect food 0/10. I've collected food and gold and its not counting up.... if theres a certain crop i need to collect it should tell me

@kevin-n-scott If you are talking about the 125 tokens that appeared at the very first hours of the event, forget about it. I believe that was a "bug" they probably mistyped the starting number.

I think everyone started with that amount, and they fixed to the correct one that was 10.

I have just claimed Arctic Wind. I am aiming for Storm Bringer.

As for the freebies, I’ve got 5 each time.

@demonancer It works just like heroic races, wait until your habitat shows the gold icon e tap it. It's not 100% chance, so it may take a few tries.

For food farm the 30s ones.

Breeding/Hatching use lvl 4 terra/terra or terra/flame. Be patient for this one tho, it may take a few dozen tries before getting it done.

also, with sooo many dragons not available in breeding... is there a way to earn gems without paying? Another similar game i played before had dragons that gave gems instead of gold

@demonancer You don't need to pay to get gems. There are several ways to get them, like:

• When leveling
• Winning league battles
• Advancing in arena
• Completing dragon collections
• Getting from Jewelem's Tower
• Watching videos from frisbie island (you'll unlock that automatically)
• Doing tasks from frisbie island
• From events in the game
• From heroic races (next one is schedule to the end of this month)

man this mini game is frustratingly hard to learn.
how exactly are the mechanics if i dont finish a task? i thought it would simply be replaced by a new one. when does it disappear? 8 hours after first item?

Can someone please help me I'm new and don't know what everything is yet I keep getting my nut kicked no matter what level or training I get hit 1 time and bye for me???

@honey-4rkb For breeding: breed Terra + Terra again and again until you get the points. For hatching: Buy Terra eggs, hatch and place them again and again until you get the points. For collecting food: Grow 30 second food again and again until you get the points. For collecting gold: Collect only from full habitats. Others might not count. You might try flying on airplane mode before doing for real to get practice. It is not easy. Good luck.

The only thing exist above 30000 score is tiny amount of food and gold so dont waste your time. This is dragon city, not subway surfers =)))

Sad that this doesnt fit in your RL. But to be fair. It is doable. We have 3 fights in pvp and then 5 after 6 hours. So that fits in the shedule if you can do them in time.
For the stamps you lost with the restart... it was the same for all players. So that is not unfair imo.

@apoli I think she meant to not waste resources. The next mission might need that same resource and if it is on cooldown (for example: League Battles/Quests), you would be again unable to complete.

The meaning of the first tip is if you cannot do it in the 8 hour window don't bother doing it in order to save your resources for another mission. An example is Kevin Scott starting late for the league battles mission, since he was not going to be able to do it save those battles for later to avoid the 6 hour reset getting in the way.

On a side note I do not care for the way they do these missions. On one hand they are not enough, they should continue as the do in puzzles and races. On the other hand these league and quest missions are ridiculous and impossible in these 8 hour windows, you miss time and you lose the possibility to complete them. Not to mention they are unrealistic, I got one requiring more than 3 quests.

End of day 4, I'm almost there for the storm bringer. It's possible to get it tomorrow at the end of the day if I collect all 60 tokens and make around 110 items each and I'll still have 2 days to get some additional food and wind tokens.

Can't wait to have it
