Hello everyone and welcome to my 11th analysis, this time featuring Demise.
Even after being hit by the unfortunate yet well-deseved nerf right after her release, Demise is still one of the most deadly Light monsters to this day. Any monster with Strength runes and a decent AOE move turns into a killing machine after Demise uses Strength From Beyond on them, allowing them to move straight after Demise-regardless of Speed! On top of this, 3465 is a very good Speed tier among all deny and support monsters, and while it is a bit irrelevant, immunity to Insta-Kill gives her some synergy with Queen Luthien.
-Strength From Beyond
-Shining Tackle/The Light Within
-When Light Corrupts
Runes: 3 Speed
SFB is Demise's main powerful move, and it has many synergies other than one-hitting everyhting. Shining Tackle is a 0 CD Blind move that also does some damage, but The Light Within can prove useful as well. Draining Light heals the team and When The Light corrupts ruins setup attempts by the likes of Megosteum. 3 Speed is necessary to quickly use SFB.
Teammates: Monsters who have the combination of AOE make an enemy weak to x type+ high damage x type AOE move are good allies, such as Kiridar and Tephra. SFB can be used on VoltaiK after he recharges to finish off the enemy that has been weakened. A more direct approach is to use monsters like Lord Moltus, who deal enough damage to wipe out the enemy in one turn. Keep in mind that her matchup with tanky monsters is good thanks to When Light Corrupts.
Countering Demise: Use a faster monster and deny her before she uses SFB, then kill her before she gets the chance to use it again. Doing that will render Demise mostly harmless, as she doesn't possess any hard deny effects and she almost can't deal damage.
