Hello everyone and welcome to my 38th analysis, this time featuring Master Skeel.
Master Skeel is available in the Team Shop for 1,5k War Coins, so it's not difficult to rank him up, and he is a very good choice for that. With all-around good stats and his status moves being powerful AOEs, Master Skeel can become a support or an attacker depending on your team. However, his days as a denier ended when SP updated the negative effect list, plus his trait is rather useless.
-Beta Waves/Alpha Waves
Runes: 2 Strength 1 Speed/ 3 Team Speed/ 3 Speed
Omega Waves not only has a very solid 40 Base Power for an AOE, but it also applies 2 random negative effects to all targets. Beta Waves applies only 1 negative effect to all enemies and is weaker, but it's still used as a second AOE attack. Overcome is a single target Stun that's unresisted. Alternatively, Alpha Waves is a 0 CD move that applies 1 negative effect to all allies, and this is helpful since his other moves have long CDs. Nullify Control effectively denies a monster for 2 turns thanks to the Daze and Blind it applies. 2 Strength 1 Speed makes Master Skeel hit hard (I suggest Beta Waves with this spread), but 3 Team Speed can also be used since he can still operate without Strength or high Speed. Depending on the enemies you face, 3 Speed instead takes on a denier approach, focusing on using Nullify Control and Overcome quickly to stop monsters, or hope for a deny effect from his Waves.
Teammates: Master Skeel can easily find a place in any team due to his all-around good moveset. Synergy-wise, Queen Luthien can safely use Luthien's Blessing on him thanks to his trait. Captain Copperbeard can not only act as a denier, but he can also refresh the CDs of his moves, which is crucial.
Countering Master Skeel: Alex Bone counters Master Skeel hard thanks to Evasion dodging status effects as well, and Omega Waves has 4 CD. Igursus can reflect back his Waves, but beware of Possession as that will result in the moves being used twice against your team, which will be disasterous. General Ingvar can dodge status with Tough, then cure his team with Encouragement.
