Hello everyone and welcome to my 41st analysis, this time featuring Hiroim the Tenacious.
Hiroim has the 2nd highst Speed of all Earth monsters, tied with Tesaday and Hydratila the Riftmaker. That puts him ahead of many Earth monsters in terms of Speed, including Brontes and General Atum. He also has the Bulwark trait, and a Self move which puts him at an advantage against Baba Yaga. Aside from this, he has an unresisted move with 0 CD and 70 Base Power! Unfortunately, Hiroim wishes it had more than 4 moveslots, as it will give up a valuable move no matter what. Plus, if you run 3 Speed on him, he won't be as tanky as you want him to be, and at 2 Speed 1 Life he gets outsped by Brontes, and his Base Strength is low, making his massive attack weaker.
Movesets:
-Adverse Fortification
-Rampact Impact
-Aegis Clash
-Perfect Armor/Power Shelter
Runes: 3 Speed/ 2 Speed 1 Life/1 Speed 1 Strength 1 Life
Adverse Fortification not only draws all single target moves towards him, but it returns all damage dealt to him as well. Rampact Impact is a Mega Stun move, which is one of the most powerful status effects in the game. Aegis Clash is an AOE Daze which helps in dodging status effects. Lastly, Perfect Armor protects any teammate from the abundant Stun effect and gives them a 100% Life Shield. Power Shelter can be used in place of Perfect Armor since even with Hiroim's low Strength, it still is unresisted, has 70 Base Power and has 0 CD. 3 Speed puts his great Speed to good use and allows him to ruin Brontes with Mega Stun. 2 Speed 1 Life makes him tankier, which allows for better synergy with Perfect Armor(the Shield part) and Adverse Fortification, and thanks to Bulwark he may not get denied, plus he has Adverse Fortification in case your opponent has Baba Yaga. If you run Power Shelter, running 1 Speed, Strength and Life is crucial to take advantage of the move's huge power.
Teammates: Hiroim can be allied with healing monsters to help him stay alive, especially since he'll be receiving a lot of attacks. Attackers enjoy the presence of Hiroim since he can Mega Stun Ouros. An AOE Blinder can be combined with Aegis Clash for a 2 turn deny.
Countering Hiroim the Tenacious: Hiroim's Bulwark trait makes it difficult to counter him, but know that one he uses his Mega Stun, Hiroim's level of danger drops greatly. Using a Hiroim of your own is a good idea since you can use Adverse Fortification to lure Rampact Impact and have a 50% chance of being Mega Stunned, as opposed to 100%.
