Hello everyone and welcome to my 50th analysis, this time featuring Ouros.
Overview: The first ever true tank to be in the game, Ouros used to be infamous for making battles last for an extremely long time. Access to Double Life, Shields, Regen and Taunt makes for a monster that is tough to defeat in a short time without tons of Tortures. However, what's the most known thing about Ouros is his special move, which has a 50% chance to kill the enemy team. This 50% chance is applied to every enemy, so while not all of them may die from this, it's very likely that at least one will. Unlike most monsters, Ouros could rely on this move because he could drag battles on for very long periods of time. However, Ouros' strategy revolves around buffs, which can be removed, and there are a lot more Tortures than what used to be in the past, meaning monsters can abuse them to bring him down very quickly.
Everest gives Ouros Taunt and Double Life, allowing him to protect his teammates from single target attacks. Cho Oyu gives him a 100% Damage Mirror, and it works great with Everest to ruin attackers that don't remove buffs. Manaslu and Lhotse allow Ouros to deal damage outside his special and offer crucial survivability with Regeneration and a 30% Shield, respectively.
2 Life 1 Speed is necessary to increase Life as much as possible while preventing other monsters from moving twice before you. Speed Mutations on the Life Runes and Life Mutation on the Speed Rune give him the most optimal stats.
Teammate Options: Dodge Area monsters can benefit greatly from Everest, as it protects them completely from any move. For more Teammate options, check out this article.
