I updated my DC app from App Store today but still can’t see rainbow habitats for purchase. I’ve tried shutting the app and restarting it but that hasn’t worked either. Any ideas?

You get one free rainbow habitat. Look in storage for it, it should be in habitats, but just search rainbow and it should be there.
Not certain if this is level dependent though, if you are a brand new player it might not be a available yet.
