First of all I have only read some topics so if I repeat an idea that someone already posted I'm sorry. I have just created this account and I decided to write about the ideas that came to my mind. Secondly, English is my second language, so if I make grammatic errors feel free to tell me. Without further ado, lets start.
I have been playing dragon city for few years and I can say that there is no kind of direct competition among the alliances.I do agree about the ranking system and alliance chests
but it is based on collective progress of induviduals
.So I want to suggest the developers to make a creative event for alliances such that it requires teamwork between the members of alliance.I am not asking for alliance wars in specific but something new that no gamer has experiencd ever and also improves synergy among the members. Thank you for hearing me.

Post count: 218Reputation: 171Joined:@pranay-reddy The trial they tried in the past, was the alliance race, and people absolutely hated it. This is because higher level alliances were placed with lower level alliances which made it super unfair. Also inactive players in the alliance dragged the alliance down but were still rewarded, yet in normal races and alliance chests, inactive players never got rewards.

Post count: 801Reputation: 805Joined:Location: IrelandI actually liked the alliance race. It was a struggle to compete and coordinate, but really brought teamwork into play.
The main complaint was that players could be kicked out of an alliance at any point, and would then lose out on all the rewards that they had earned that alliance, while the alliance kept their contributions. I think that if they had a locked-in group for the duration of the race, add-ins or drop-outs only but no kick-outs, it would have encouraged teams to choose members wisely and the whole idea might have worked.
I keep hoping they might try again, but it's been nearly 2 years.
And as for higher against lower, well it's already like that for every regular race, with high and low level players against each other, so that is no excuse.Cici Dragons Leader

Post count: 685Reputation: 406Joined:Location: The DragonVerse@susan-mclaughlin I liked the alliance race as well, but it wasn’t fair when 10 members are working actively, 1 member doesn’t play anymore but nobody knows, and 9 are just relaxing and pitching in 1 or 2 items a round. It got really difficult if your team would not participate.

Post count: 6596Reputation: 3529Joined:Location: GermanyI dont like the discussion of inactive members at all. Fact is that in these races we had to feed a lot (players who could not produce enough food could not participate). We had to win league or arena fights (Not everyone has the dragons to do that). These alliance races were bad for the team. We won them just because some of our members spent money what others made feel bad. For me that feature doesnt help to make a team stronger. It is more to destroy a team.

Post count: 10880Reputation: 6599Joined:Location: New Jersey, USAWell here is my thoughts on why I did not like the former alliance races:
- required too much from the all for one nodes, which did not take into account if you had an alliance that was a variety of different levels. This would not work with teams with a lot or all lower level players.
- required too many 15 members must do nodes, again this only worked if you had 15 or active players.
- required too many league and arena battles nodes. As Bettina stated a lot of players do not have the dragons or teams to sustain that.
- did not take into account the level of participation of individual players. Like in Monster Legends I do not care for these races because you have some players who put in a lot of effort and/or a lot of gems to progress in the race and you have some who put in little to no effort and still walk away the same rewards as the other team members.
- aggressive leaders or unethical leaders had the ability to kick players throughout the entire race. Now don't get me wrong there are plenty of times and/or reasons to kick players but if you are on a team with an unethical leader they could kick you out, the team was able to keep the points and progress the player contributed but the player would end up with nothing. This alone was the reason why I despised the races.
- And again as with in Monster Legends this setup does not promote team cohesiveness, it just created animosity and aggressiveness. There are teams that are more laid back and are not as insistent to be in the top whatever, they were playing for the enjoyment, with these races they had to either become more aggressive, or kick out players who were good team members but not as good as race contributors.
This game already manipulates so much of your real life time without adding in the team races which were more of a time suck then the individual races are. Plus with the current heroic races you could get to lap 15 and relax or stop racing. That was not the case with the alliance races, they were the same format as the original heroic races, you had to win in your grouping or lose out on all your hard work, time and/or gems.
I am glad they stopped these and I hope they NEVER come back. I will gladly accept them joining the other discontinued features.

Post count: 801Reputation: 805Joined:Location: Ireland@nynaevelan you remember the alliance race better than I do. I forgot it was first place or nothing.
I thought it was a dirty move for leads to kick players out mid-race, was surprised to hear it the first time.
I had, and still have, a good team of mixed level and mixed motivation players, though several have moved on and been replaced. We won both races, some of us spent gems but i never asked it. I just liked the challenge, though it was more time consuming than even a regular race, and those are bad enough.
I think the alliance chests are boring, and the rewards are sometimes not worth the effort. My mixed team struggles to reach chest 6 except hatching. It is nice to trade orbs also, though we don't all trade. But i think the alliance feature could use another event. Maybe a progressive where we work as a team to advance through many rewards, but not compete against others.Cici Dragons Leader

I do not mind helping teammates with the trading but the chests are just not engaging enough. Even with the changes to the chests. The goals are too unrealistic and they cost too much to get to the 6th level. I wouldn't mind if they added a new race like event but if it is a win or lose type event then no I am not for it.

Post count: 18Reputation: 8Joined:Location: Indiawell , i guess alliance race is of no help so,i got an idea for an event.well it may seem lame but please hear me out and tell your opinion on practical applications, improvements ,changes ,etc:
the second half of every month an alliance chest race should be conductedthe event would consist of multiple chests not just one like ,normally we would have one alliance chest ,this event is gonna have multiple each of different missions such as hatching, breeding, feeding, etc:
of course since its an 15 day event the bars should be set higher and a point of qualification for each chest should be made
this would be competition between 8 alliances and alliance that is at the lead at the end of the event and also qualified (for each chest) will get a pies (an item)
the number of pies will depend on the severity of the mission [example:- winning leagues is tougher than collecting gold so, the league chest would give a 5 pie whereas the gold chest would give a 1 pie]if an alliance completes a chest, it would get the final reward of that particular chest
at the end of the event, the collect pies will become a currency for each member and,
i)either the players could vote within a day for proposed packages
[example:-an alliance have collected 20 pies then one would propose to buy a heroic dragon for 20 pies and the other would propose 10 pies of a legendary dragon and remaining for food and gold. the proposal with more vote will be finalised or if none votes, the package with highest number of most valued things will be finalised. in this case the heroic]voting time is one day.
ii)or,everyone could buy what they wanti hope you understood because,i am not good at english.

Post count: 685Reputation: 406Joined:Location: The DragonVerse@pranay-reddy yes I get it enough to reach the main point. 8 alliances compete on multiple alliance chests at once, and when you win you get pies or prizes. Then the team with the most prizes can exchange the prizes for a reward (heroic dragon 20p, Legendary Dragon 10p, etc).
But this way everyone wins because if you finish a chest you still get the rewards from it, even if you lost. And the winner gets the chest rewards AND the exchangeable prize.

Post count: 18Reputation: 8Joined:Location: India@the-dragonificer then lets make finishing the single chest as hard as completing lap 30 in a heroic race.(comparision)
or maybe lap 15 ,as much as required to get the reward (heroic dragon) which we get by winning the race.
