So I was told that SocialPoint might be planning to shut down global chat. I'm not sure if this is true, but I thought I'd prove why it should stay.
Many players use global chat to recruit team members for other people. Yes, there's other forms of social media like discord, but many players (like me) don't use social media. Without global chat, it would be harder for some of us to find teams or recruit players. Teams play a very important role in Monster Legends because of Team Wars and Team Race. For players that don't use social media, finding a team would be much more frustrating than it already is.
I am very aware of the "toxicity" in global chat. I notice that sometimes global chat isn't used for what it's made for. Other peoples' behaviors shouldn't punish us players that are using the chat correctly. From my experiences using global chat, I've seen way more conversations about the game than I've seen drama. Like I said before, I'm not sure if the person that told me SocialPoint was planning on shutting down global misheard, but if they are planning on shutting it down, I want them to be aware there are other options. Increasing the minimum level a player has to be to use the chat is one of those options. If the minimum level is around 50, that would make the chat a much more peaceful environment than it already is.
