@michael-lon Zombie Star, Prosperous Rat, and Fiend are all also in rescues. Vitality left my radar when I realized that Terra and Light are hitting exactly the same weaknesses, making them redundant and turning Vitality into a 3.5 element dragon in my eyes.

I've been making the Titan Eggs a priority the last couple of months when you started taking about the power of high level Titans. Before that I ignored then completely bc the ones I encountered were so weak that the extra hit didn't matter.

Very frustrating, just started lap 16 and game crashes every time I load farms is it just me or is anyone else having farm loading issues? I’ve sent a ticket in but knowing how long it takes for support to respond, race will be over before it’s fixed

Try loading one farm and then doing a restart...perhaps do this until you can find the farm that is causing the issue. Every now and then I get this for the last farm needed for a node in events. Not always but enough for it to be annoying but not enough to bother sending in a ticket. Also try clearing your cache and/or restarting your device to see if that helps.

I found I had been kicked from my alliance and was trying to grow alliance based food, found another alliance and is working fine now

This race was quite weird from the beginning and it's the first one I am going to lose in 3 years. I couldn't care less being at 18.4 right now and having just picked up the Quasar (no Black Hole though) but something made me suspect the first place is not a real player. He/she is (presumably) from Brazil, and ALWAYS moves as soon as I get within 1 lap from them or closer, even when any good Brazilian should be fast asleep. My time zone is 2 hours behind them and I usually play till very late, and it's just not possible unless there's a whole family taking turns to play round the clock, with the game always on. However, I didn't play almost the entire day yesterday and of course their avatar stayed put for as long as I was offline... and moved again within 3 minutes after I had resumed playing. Never seen anything like this in a race before, or maybe those Trump's conspiracy theories are affecting my judgment now

@vanessa-hidalgo Why do you think you are losing when you can still get the Heroic and all the dragons? Is it that important to place first? I'll be quite happy reaching lap 15 and placing third 'cos I can still get all the dragons.

Look on the bright side. You're not losing anything by coming in second and why bother with the strange antics by that person from Brazil?

The only “network” I can think of is the alliance, and I have one where I don’t have any kind of “relationship” with the members (I also never understand how your Alliances influence your race progress/success?). Trading is very rarely successful, and gives so few orbs that getting even 200 orbs is an unreachable goal. What am I missing?
I am obviously a much lower level player (91), my first Heroic race was the High Marauder.

Got 40 dark matter I need a heroic with legend element for legend arena but I am not winning so I am going to try summoning the High Eternal Dragon or the High Reverie dragon. And yes I have had a person that always when I complete a lap they move another two laps so I have given up they are moving all day and never stopping I think they are a hacker because the pools do not hold them back so they keep going right now they are lap 15 and I am lap 13 and I cannot wait for the High Occult Titan

My first heroic was positivity. I think that’s only 2 heroics earlier than marauder.

Got War Titan from the egg, and just finally finished the Jokers lap, about two hours off pace to get 100 Jokers.

Still spent around 150 gems on that lap. Not sure if that's worth it or not for 50 Jokers...

In retrospect, I should have pulled the trigger on that lap a bit sooner, or not done it at all. With 80 more gems I believe I could have finished in time for the double rewards, though I didn't realize I'd be spending as much as I did.

@vanessa-hidalgo I also faced the same thing.He was also from Brazil. Whenever I was 3 to 4 nodes behind him and I went offline for 10 minutes, he would move 3~4 nodes. IDK how is that possible.

I've just understood what you mean after waiting 15 hours for the last node on lap 21, only to collect 28 items. I was contemplating to collect in batches but I didn't know I HAVE to collect in batches. Now, there's only 1.5 hours to the race ending.

That took me to 80 dark matter and Quasar. I am very pleased with this result, and Lap 16 gave me Hollowtress which is new for me, so a very good race overall!
I actually found this one less painful than the last ones, better tasks and waiting times.

Was on Lap 14 Node 5, with one breeding left.
Game crashed, reloaded, next thing I know, I'm on Lap 15?

Finished 1st on Lap 17. 2nd place on L12 so I was able to just take it easy the last couple days. I got so tired of the breed/hatch requirements. Glad it's over.

I made it to 15.5 and got first place. But only got 1 heroic dragon. Wasnt i supposed to get one from being 1rst, and one from lap 15?

No. Only one. You have to be first OR reach Lap 15.

As stated in the original post you will NEVER get 2 of the featured heroic.

I wanted that titan egg but I got bored with it so just stopped as soon as I reached lap 18. Got my heroic and the Quasar so I am good.

Well, I did it...I took @Yumi-Ko 's words to heart and decided to spend abotu 200 gems working hard to finish in first. I also am glad I set my alarm to wake me up about 15 min before the race ended. I was in first and at least two nodes ahead when I went to bed (events start/end at 6am East Coast Time). I woke up to find out I was a node behind and debating gem usage - I haven't spent any money on gems (yet!) so using a lot of gems to get past things doesn't hurt to much. I was on the hatch 7 breed 6 node of lap 14 and those are killer for me so I rolled the dice ( and 20 gems) on a wheel spin and landed on "finish node". So I jumped ahead and collected the food within time and fought one fight and stared at the board for the last 6 seconds of the race!

My High Nebula dragon is on the nest now and will be my 3rd Heroic. I'm going to take a break for a bit and build up gems but any strategy on the races is appreciated

I'm going to work in getting more islands since I tend to collect gold better when the islands are ready to collect

I am good with food - 30 sec food collects well

My kicker is hatching and breeding. Spamming terra (either breeding or hatching ) works OK but not great so any other tips would be helpful.

Any tips on anything else would be greatly helpful as well!

I reached lap 22 with 632 gems including the following:
Timed lap 8 = 19 gems
Timed lap 13 = 55 gems
Timed lap 17 = 78 gems
Timed lap 20 = 148 gems

I'm sure I could have saved some gems if not for some stupid mistakes I made. But I can't really complain at this result which is an improvement of 4 laps from my last race and had completed 2 more timed laps. This is my third race and I doubt I can repeat this any time soon. Firstly, it's the gem cost and more importantly, it is rather gruelling.

I'm doing the empowerment quests now which will take another 150-200 gems. In total I will probably spend around 820 gems to get a 2-star High Nebula, 3-star Multi-Dimensional and 2-star Quasar. It seems to be a decent gem spend for 3 empowered dragons plus all the other rewards from the race. Please feel free to advise otherwise. I appreciate any advice on further improvements.

@tante Congrats and well done getting a third Heroic before level 40! Really nice work on the race!

Grinding terras is the worst part of the race for me too. Sometimes I use the free spin or buy spins on it. Sometimes I use a sanctuary breeding to get one item. Most of the time, I just grind terras. There's a 10% chance of getting a breed/hatch item so it usually works out to 1 item per 10 breeds/hatches. I may have ground out 1,000 terras for this race.

There is a lot of good advice from experienced dragon masters here. I'm a relative newbie to the game. If you can, visit the useful forum threads daily to read and learn more.

@Yumi-Ko - I'm laughing at you buying spins - I get it, it's just funny because I tried it to get past breeding twice and just got the 1 item. It was a bit frustrating and for a while I just took dragons out of storage and sped their breeding, which got me more for my 20 gems than those spins did. Rolling the gem-dice on spinning did work at the end as I landed on "complete node"

I'm focusing on getting more habitats right now - I only had expanded to 3 islands and it wasn't a big deal but collecting gold seems to register better when the habitats are ready to collect a lot rather than collecting few so more habitats means more ready, if that makes sense. Working on other strategies as well.

I have a little time so I'm going to explore some advice here.

This was my all-time favorite event (Sorry, High White Queen Dragon) since it was all about space... My sister got High Nebula before she reset her iPad. If I could choose one heroic, I would choose this one! Its design is so amazing!
