I have a Millenium sitting on my hatchery. Got it from Terra + Car.

This morning I had a success on my baby account with Wisp + Flame for Abyss/Apoc, after just one failure (yesterday) since the last successful breeding. My main account's latest fail on Supersonic finished breeding naturally, and I decided to switch gears since I saw so many bad results yesterday. Strong + Sea yielded Millenium on the first try.

I have no explanation for my 20 fails in a row on Supersonic. I don't know if my game just got in a rut because I've been exclusively doing the combo of Disco Ninja + Double Terra for weeks, or if it had something to do with speed-breeding, or if it was just a random stroke of ridiculously bad luck somehow, but the probability of seeing 20 fails in a row was 0.0182%. So something was going on...

@jgb law of averages. I had that happen to my supersonic breeds some months ago. Would get 3 in a row then just dry as sand.

The only thing about the cat 5 breeds i found consistent on all my accounts has been forge dragon. Giant wings and sea/double sea worked really well for me on 3accts.

since the new breeding reborn system, i didnt get a single kratus. i keep breeding 5war and 0 pure and the other way around, this way it shows that kratus is possible and the other one is not. before the reborn system i used to get kratus now and then, not any more. could someone explain that to me?

I have had the same problem - it’s getting frustrating - I have easily done over 100 breeds still no kratus

From what I've read, your best bet to get Kratus is either 5-stars on both war and pure, or 5-stars on war and 3-stars on pure. It does seem to impact the result to have the bar more full.

At 5+5, that's as full as you can get it, but every once in a while you will produce a dragon from the second tier of breeding. At 5+3, you have the largest combo of stars possible without activating the second tier.

This worked for me to get my second Kratus but the caveat was I did mine before they re-nerfed the Phaun Tower so I am sure the success rate will not be as high now as it was when I originally did it. I am soooooo glad I decided to work on a second Kratus before working on something new.

Supposedly they have deployed a "fix" for Phaun Tower today that prevents"exploitation" but also works better than their not-at-all from the last couple weeks.

No idea if it's actually any better.

I'm sure its better for them not so much for us.

Did they seriously say we’re exploiting? . Deflection is a “thing” nowadays, I guess ( always somebody’s fault). I suppose it’s good that they stayed away from using “hacking”. .

I just find it hilariously absurd that spending tons of gems to speed a breed advantage of a tower who’s sole purpose is to give a breeding advantage “exploitation”. Sensible people with common sense would call it “clever”

I agree, I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that they have prevented us from spending hundreds of gems per week, which will force us to either buy more gems or earn more gems from tasks, which they get income from, an exploit that should be avoided. If this is an exploit this was an exploit that both us the players and them the developers were benefitting from. In fact they were benefitting more than we were. But this was an exploit that f2p, p2p and semi-newbies were able to benefit from. But hey why make the game fun and engaging, it is much better to dissatisfy and anger your consumer base. (insert sarcasm here)

In the 5 times I used it I spent 2200 gems for 6 5 and 2 3 dragons, something I would never have done without the Phaun Tower. So the way I figure it they have cost themselves @500 gems a week at a minimum from me and I was conservative in my use of the tower. Imagine how much they have lost in the long term from the entire community because they have turned this feature off. There is so little to use gems wisely on now a days I thought this was a perfect use of my gems, but obviously they did not think so. So I get to keep my gems and they get to keep their tower. They took a win/win and made it a lose/lose....again.

Only one report so far, that I've seen. One person gemmed through 24 breedings this morning with Phaun active. One legendary.

I want to draw some comparisons between breeding with Phaun active and with it not active using the same set of dragons and not using any gems.

Is there anyone on this thread who would like to help me out with researching that? We can chat elsewhere (facebook? discord?) to determine what we want to breed toward, and then keep tabs on the results both with and without Phaun, until we have a reasonable sample size of both.

I figure that wasting a bunch of breed cycles for non-sanctuary locations will not cause any discomfort since those locations are more-or-less relegated to being useless outside of events.

The original legendary dragons (Legacy Dragon, Crystal Dragon, Mirror Dragon and Wind Dragon) should be breedable without obtaining any orbs. they have been breedable in a normal way since the game exists; i dont know why this should be changed. And to clarify this:

@palladium just as the release statement says, its a refresh. Does it really matter if it is pure/pure or legend/legend they still have the same or similar difficulty levels? I haven't tried the other 4 but legacy is no easier or harder with the new combos so it makes no difference to me. It was annoying to get all those pure failures, which were enough to get my pure to 5 stars many times over. I have more issues with Phaun than I do with what combos are needed. Not to mention before with p/p you could have gotten any of the 5 which made getting them or specifical ones to 5 stars harder and more time consuming. This way you can target which of the five you are aiming for.

but how can you get legend dragons when you need legend dragons to breed legend dragons? that’s kinda paradox..
also yeah, the fact that you can breed a specific one is nice but how do I even know which one it will be? my 5star terra + 0star droconos is crystal dragon. but why this one and not e.g wind dragon?

@palladium all of those old legend-only dragons that used to be breedable with pure x pure can now be bred with a legend-only dragon plus a different single element. Legacy is legend x legend. The others use legend x a different element, including the ancient world ones.

But how do you get a legend element dragon when you need a legend element dragon to breed a legend element dragon?
Im pretty confused but the thing with the different elements is cool tbh

You can use dragons with other elements included, to start, I suppose. And I think some legend-only dragons are rewards in quests too.

It is a compensation for players who bought progress with gems to build Phauns tower when breeding reborn came up.

I spent around 1k gems on Phaun in January. Got the chest. 200 gems and 200 Jokers. Net result: 800 gems for 200 L Jokers.

The Jokers were the last few I needed to have enough to empower Sinful Vampire to his 4th star in the next happy hour.

4 gems per joker is a decent price, especially when they are becoming Vampire orbs. I'm ok with how this all panned out, pending confirmation from my testing that Phaun does indeed make a difference in breeding again.

I used 120 of the 200 gems to do the final upgrade of my hatchery. That will help a lot with all the breeding/hatching tasks!

Rare Breeding is broken. Last month I got acceptable results of getting 21 legend eggs in 40 breeds, and 20 legend eggs in a different 60 breeds. But my in last 100+ breeds have given ZERO legend eggs. You can get Heroic eggs from the breeding event faster than that!!! This is a bug, but every time I try to post it as a bug, they lock or delete my post !!

It's not a bug. It's the downswing of statistics. You're unfortunately still within the realm of normal results, depending on what your selected parents are.

Perhaps because you were directed to the post which stated the changes in the breeding which means this is NOT A BUG but intended behavior. You have been asked and warned not to repost the same topic that been asked and answered, please do not do so again.

I have been polite in called it an unintentional bug. Sanctuary legends have been 25-30% chance forever. Kratus always seemed higher than that, like 35%. Even if the new legend are worse at 15-20%(?), it is not within acceptable results. If they have made some legends ridiculous at less than 1% chance, then they are cheating us.

To answer your 2nd question, the last 50 attempts I kept close track of: 5* lvl 31 wind + 5* lvl 31 primal. 44 wind eggs, 3 Arctic wind eggs (vr), 3 aerosaur eggs (epic), ZERO north wind eggs.

Hey all! I'm new to the forum. I've played DC 4 years back and I just returned a few days ago. I realized there are breedable legends now and I have been trying for the symbiotic. I've tried many times but no luck so far. I was wondering, do the higher levels legends (i.e. ice bullet, space knight ) have an even slimmer chance than the low level legends?

@krishen-thomas you need empowered dragons, thats the new system. (if you dont know how: you have to get some orbs of one of the breeding dragons and then head to the tree of life, thats the place where you can empower your dragons.
How to get orbs: if the dragon is breedable try to breed him multiple times, feed him up and then recall him, thats kinda cruel in my opinion but it gives you a lot of orbs
Otherwise you could do a dragon rescue)

@palladium Ohh thanks for the info. Now I how the empowerment works with breeding. But my worry is the odds. I'm aiming to breed the ice bullet dragon by breeding my war & night wind dragon. Since the fail breeds themselves would take a long time, is it even worth trying for it?

@nynaevelan as a golden rule, you always try to go with the minimum elements possible.

Unfortunately for the legendaries from sanctuary, you do have to use at least their four elements.
You can try Hard-Headed dragon (war+metal) vs any dragon with earth+water. It should give around 12 to 15 choices.

I haven't tried millennium yet but have had best success for mirage forge and supersonic using a single element like flame, or double flame, with a dragon having the other 3 elements.

I have FINALLY finished breeding my last Millenium egg to get him to 5 stars...now off to start Mirage, just this one and Promethium left to go!!
