All I get from the chests when I don‘t get staff pieces is 20 orbs of Double Ice

@titania I have gotten a total of 196 orbs of Double Ice from this event. Maybe I can trade some in my alliance unless everyone is getting a lot of them.

I'm looking forward to a 3* or higher double-ice dragon for breeding. 5* Horai, I'm coming!

@jgb Does that give promising combinations?
I am mainly confused by the new breeding, and since there are non-stop events where you need the breeding and hatching spaces... no chance to play around with the breeding.

I totally agree. No time to check out even one breeding. lol

@bettina-löffler I tried exactly one, which turned out a Core dragon, blocking the breeding and hatching for a VERY long time (and not a new dragon for me), so I did not try another .

Edit : I just did another, 2-star High Arcane and 1-star High Earthen... Acoustic, another one that takes forever

It will be very slow going but I plan on playing with it when there are no races (or I have reached my goal) or no Puzzles or Runs. I think those are the only three events which require breeding/hatching missions. It doesn't leave much time as stated but since this is really not a major concern for me, it is what it is.

On a side note I do have my first test going. With a 5 Wind and Terra I am trying for Fertility. The only possibilities that are open for me are Fertility, Wind and Terra. So far after 5 attempts just terra and wind.

I open many staff-chest from but NO frozen staff handle, only fire&ice orbs, I have enough ruby.

It doesn’t look as if I have a chance at White Queen for free, has someone managed to get it?

@titania I may be able to get it. I currently have 7105 coins and can get 3000 more in the last 2 collections. The next set of TV prizes will give me at least 375 coins. I can get another 350 from the quest if I use gems to speed things along. That would give me 10830 coins which is exactly what is need to get White Princess free. It helps that I got 1000 coins from the TV roulette wheel.

So after the videos today with the gem chest, i scouted the maze. Seems I can get my last gem piece to finish the staff on the second maze chest, so no need for me to waste gems trying to speed up the quest for the gem chest. Sadly, the prize only gave 120 orbs of each of the 3 dragons. Since I’m getting white princess via orbs anyways, might as well go for resources path like rainbow tokens.

I too just got lucky and received the 1k coins so I am hoping that is enough to take me to the Queen. I planned to buy a small coin package to get me there so hopefully this will let me save my funds to use on the newest Vampire that they just added to the book.

I will go for Boreas (I realized I don’t own it and got 120 orbs in a ruby chest, so can empower) and hope that I can complete the staff and get the princess that way...

@dragonista Good haul though. I am now getting Fire&Ice orbs, but still not getting more rubies or handle/staff pieces. I don’t have enough maze coins for more chests and there is no chest or maze coins from TV anymore so it seems I will not complete my staff.

Ugh I am going to be 50 short for the Princess, now the question is do I spend $2 for a tiny pack or walk away from her??

I was able to get it without buying coins. I did need to use gems to speed a couple of quest fights & the last 2 fights at the end of the path, but the gems were free.

Doesn’t look like I’ll get the last Handle or Ruby that I need to get the Staff.

I’ll go for Rainbow Tokens & get Lv. 6 for the Habitat, then.

The calendar posted in the December Updates post and the topic here says the event runs Dec 16-20, but the timer on the actual maze seems to say it ends in 6 hours from this post which will put it at midnight of the 20th. Bettina's calculations work out for a 4 day event, so I don't know if this is a mistake.

As I read this, there will be no new event tomorrow which means no other way to get a handle or gem, even though that event runs another full day after this.

@darthkerwin technically, the heroic race is part of the event because of the jewel on lap 10. That still has one day to go. They “might” sell the chests tomorrow for handles/rubies....”maybe”,

I sure hope they offer a chest for "sale"... I opened EVERY chest available and I’m still 2 handles short

Other than that, it’s been a pleasant event

@darthkerwin The dates are correct. Events always start and end at 12 o clock Barcelona time.

... needed 1 handle so bought a chest (silly me) ... got orbs/gems ... had (for me) quite a few gems and spent less in the Race than usually so thought, “Okay, one more ... and only one!” (silly me) ... got orbs/gems ... not enough gems to warrant a third try so am gonna remain one handle short... ugh

@dragonlove I bought one also. Also silly me, gems and orbs. Learned my lesson.
