Tips for runner events are here.

We start with 10 Flight Stamps and need 5 Flight Stamps per flight.
We can collect up to 180 Flight Stamps by doing tasks that change every 8 hours.
That will be 190 without quests, dragon tv and maze path.

Dragons:
Snowman -R- #259 : 500 pinwheels
Mistletoe -VR- #354 : 900 pinwheels
Yeti -E- #487 : 1400 pinwheels
Pine -L- #784 : 2500 pinwheels
Krampus -L- #1450 : 4500 pinwheels

So breeding Terra to Terra has worked for the breeding mission, but hatching not so much. I don't know if I'm not being patient enough or if they changed the parameters.

Other than that, doing alright on the runs...averaging 100 pinwheels so I'm happy. I may spend some gems to revive...depending on where I am tomorrow.

Yet again, cannot do the run to many times in a row, I get all wiggly and my fingers stop listening to me - I think they like sabotaging my happiness.

Hatching Terras is working for me.

My Event has gone completely crazy. I’ve got the previous runner with the Krampus run at the end, and then a Sinbad Runner after it.

Clear cache. And be sure to have the latest update.

@bettina-löffler Updating fixed things. I don't have auto-update on and I must have forgot to do it. I didn't do any of it, and I have about 70 stamps saved up.

I am glad that it helped.

Looks like I can get 40 carol sheets on all my accts, surprsingly, as long as I can reach the 4th chest on my baby accts. If we get another freebie chest or music sheet, then I don’t need the 4th chest.

How is the collect food Objective calculated? Seems to have some sorta rocket science behind it. I need 15 and after collecting food from all 8farms so far twice..I'm up to 2 out of 15

I still have 2 more collection periods and I do want to try for that XL food chest but I am pretty much done with this Run...now turning my attention back to my Empowering Mission.

An item drop for collecting food isn't guaranteed until you use a 12hour (or maybe 9hour) farm. Most people change some farms to 30sec grows and keep collecting from them until you get the number of items you need. It's the same as for heroic races.

Despite starting a day late I’m doing surprisingly well. I’ve already got Snowman, Mistletoe and Yeti and should be able to get Pine on my final pool.

It’s a cruel joke... i got 320 light titan orbs. I suppose I can empower one of my baby accts or trade them. Surely someone wants them. Sadly, SP has been stingy on trading essences the last few months or so.

I just did Flame and Flame for a hatch mission and got Korean Soccer. I didn’t have him but I’ll have to change my Breeding strategy in time for the next race as 6 hours will not do.

@_thespacebeing_The only thing that works for breeding is terra/terra with no stars. You will get only terra.

SP messed around with the breeding a few weeks ago & it is a mess. Unfortunately it's not something they did accidently. It's probably here to stay.

Make sure that you have the latest update. If not you will have problems with runner.

@bettina-löffler I’m updated. I always update as soon as it’s available.

I just feel that this runner is harder than the last ones. I always hate them, but thought I had at least gotten better at them with the practice (it seems there are runners almost constantly now).
But this time, even the first few rainbows appear to have more obstacles and twists than before. Is it just me or does anyone have a similar feeling?

I'm glad I got enough Krampus orbs from the Lady of Christmas quest to be able to summon it because I got no where near getting it here. I got only 3511 pinwheels. It seemed as though the dragon was flying faster sooner.

Best way to avoid getting Krampus dragon and barely reach Pine dragon:

• Skip all breeding, hatching and league tasks
• Average 70 pinwheels per run with abysmal flying skills
• Play on a cheap, laggy and unresponsive Android tablet and crash at 4 or 24 pinwheels at least 3 times

This is as much effort I'm willing to put in for runner events which are my least favourite although puzzle is a close second now..

Add to that the fact that I just realized when going to bed (rather late) last night that the run was ending in 9 hours’ time and I had not actually done any running... I had totally lost track of that.
So I spent an hour last night, went to bed even later and then another 45 minutes+ this morning to run and bump against countless rocks just to get my Krampus.
But I am very happy to say that I have it now, I REALLY wanted that dragon. 🥰
I even made it to the additional 20 gems after that, but I so hope we get a break from runners sometime...🥱

LOL I get you but for me I didn't grind during the holiday season. Yes I participated in them but I only did what I could when I wanted because even though this was a Covid Holiday with no family gatherings in person there was still a lot I was involved in and DC was not at the top of my priority list. Surprisingly i was still able to accomplish my main goal so I am thinking going forward I will just go for the collection aspect and skip all this "extra" stuff that takes up more time. But to be honest races are the big time sinks for me. Sadly Runners are coming in second with those breed and hatch missions that cannot be cranked out as quickly as I would like. But I get where you are coming from, it would be really nice if they would give us a day off every now and again, maybe once a month?? But wishful thinking on my part.

@titania same for me. I run on the last day. I average about 110 pinwheels a run but I really am starting to not like the runner event. Puzzles are my favorite. I’m kicking myself for buying maze coins last night to finish my carol sheets. This morning find out I could’ve used gems to get them. What a sucker I am.

Exactly!! That is my pretty much best score, far from average!
But I now always work with AP mode, so I can at least get 100 pinwheels per run and reach the reward dragon. Which makes my running even more time-consuming unfortunately, and a definite grind!!
I always have to work hard at the respective events that require tasks, and really need a break. But when they tie things together, like having to get Lady of Christmas and Krampus to do the next quest, I get sucked in and go for it. No willpower .

I am certain that when I started playing about 1.5 years ago, there were a few days’ break between events. But not any more.

@titania Me too which is how I ended up with over 1400 dragons, at this point I just 8can't* walk away.

Yeah unfortunately this new regime does not think there is such a thing as a break...

I JUST missed Pine, mainly because of the whole Korean Soccer Fiasco. I was about 100 pinwheels off, and there was no way to complete the breeding with that thing clogging up my hatchery.

I hate the runner thing that they have us do I always crash and cant get the dragon to jump at all. and then you have to spend gems to continue it just seems dumb. and I dont even bother with it any more

@amber-j-miller-painter Me too but I spend gems only once during the event, just try to get lots of flight stamps to get lots of pinwheels and get as far as you can. At least try to.
