So even though the orange tv coin event is overall the blue one started, should I keep the orange ones or sell them??

It's over so you can sell if you so choose. FYI personally I hold on to event decos for at least a week after an event ends just to ensure I do not miss any rewards...just in case.

I've yet to see them count them in another event. Yes some have been re-used for a different event but what you already have never counts in the new event.
