@Carlos this is my last ditch effort.
Please just hear me out, objectively.
When the race started my team was pretty excited to get him. We all need a heavy hitter earth legend. We were a bit disappointed he doesn't have an aoe, but his single special damage hits and his quick sand move seemed good enough.
The changes that were done to him, did not make him better from a player's prespective. Please just hear me out.
- In Earth wars he is likey to face Atums. Presuming equal level: General Atum at 115 has 42,225 health points without any health runes.
If player gives Burtgor an X strength rune: his power at 115 becomes 8104. His highest damage move, 75 pts does 29,174 vs another 115. Not enough to KO an Atum of same level.
Even if he uses Bestial Charge on Atum first, it will do 9724 vs him then followed by the 75 damage move total will only be 38898. Not enough to KO Atum.
Only way he'd be able to do that is if he uses 2 lvl 8 strength or higher. That is not feasible for most of us, mid level players. And using 2 strength runes means he will sacrifice his speed and open himself for stuns from opposing atums or other earths.
So he fails to KO an Atum of same level unless he is using two strength runes level 8 or higher even if he utilizes the extra turn move!. Keep in mind he will be pitted vs higher ranked Atums as many have ranked them.
- Blood Thirsty: triple damage extra turn + self blind. I know you feel passionately about this one Carlos. I get the crearive aspect of it. He enters a Blind rage! But please I plead you look at it from a player presepctive in practice. Test it out in actual game play, see how frustrating it is.
His moves are 95% accurate to begin with, with blind that is only 45% chance to hit! Keep in mind how high his cooldowns are. If he misses he will pay dearly for it because the move will go on cooldown. This would have been fine if he had 0 cd high damage moves like Bella or Learnean but a miss with high cds is very costly!
Moreover, triple damage even if he hits with it, is way overkill for him. It is unnecessary. It sounds attractive on paper but it really is never gonna be needed.
Look at the most popular hitters, Barbatos, Shallinar, Greed Dragon. They have a self damage buff extra turn move without major debuffs to the accuracy or no debuffs at all.
If you want him to be a feared hitter make Blood Thirsty give him a lower damage boost than triple, without an accuracy debuff. If you must, let it bleed him, it fits with the name blood thirsty. Or restore the original effect of -10% health.
- Taking away his quick sand move.
As mentioned above in order for him to KO an equal lvl Atum he would need 2 lvl 8 strength. Most of us do not have that! Quick Sand effect was a way for him to do damage without needing high strength runes. Removing it is a big nerf.
His group 1 set has a 50% quick sand move and so does his special. All other monsters have group 2 and 3 moves that improve on group 1.
All popular hitters have some sort of damage over time as well. Barbatos has burning and nightmares, Bella Baal got sunburn, Baltasar got bleeding, Gregorz, The Warrior etc..
Removing Quick sand really hurst his versatility. He is now only a monster that can be used if you have 2 8 strength runes. Since he can't deny and he can't inflict damage over time he HAS to KO on his turn or he will get denied himself.
Blood thirsty: removes 10% self health, applies bleeding to 1 opponent, gives 50% damage boost, gives extra turn.
Or add Quick Sand to healing flesh or regenrating fur! It makes sense! He heals while they are drowning in quick sand. As if the health they are losing, he is gaining.
Please Carlos consider this. We sometimes get so attached to an idea that we fail to see that even though it looks so creative and unique on paper, it is not practical or fun for others.
All previous race monsters brought something new to the table. He is a big step down.
Learnean: 0 cd moves, the unique confulent power!
Bella: heavy hits and unique Sunburn
Alex: the unique evasion.
Gregorz and The Warrior are more versatile more fun hitters. Tessaday does extra turn moves better. He really does not stand out nor bring anything new to the category.
We have been working on getting him for a week. All he initiay needed was the damage of the moves to match their description. He ended up with blinding himself and losing his damage over time effect. He was techically nerfed while all other race monsters were buffed. This is not fair for us who invested time, effort and money to get him. Make a poll, and ask people on fb if they like these moves or prefer the previous ones. Most people here are not getting him, or are from top teams who have better and thus couldn't care less what happens to him. Ask on fb, people who have been racing to get him.
