Joey was a dollmaker, a very good one at that. He had a whole crew to help him with it. Their business was prosperous, worth millions. But, as with many things, it came to an end. He slowly got into the puppet making business and here things took a hard turn south. As Joey's mental health declined, so did his business. He began hearing things, he became irrational, egotistical, and dangerously obsessive. He pushed everyone out of his life trying to help him. He yelled obscenities, nearly incomprehensible, nor very understandable.
This warranted the attention of the famous Mr. Flaky, who even he was rather concerned for the guy's mental health. He agreed to help him accomplish his dream of bring his work to life, he claimed often times he can hear his doll's and puppet's talking to him, edging them to help them, often times screaming it. Flaky agreed to doing this and brought most of them to life. But this would, unintentionally come at the cost of Joey's life.
One of these dolls were Clu'thierier an executioner who was rather trigger happy and really didn't listen to evidence he just killed who he didn't like and who he thought was suspicious. This didn't at all help when he got all of Joey's bumbling and irrational thoughts. He is a being that thinks with little forethought or reason he just killed. Hell he even annoyed Dark-er to the point where he had to consult Hammergrom for some help in dealing with him, which obliged only if he was on his best behavior (which he was).
This is until he met Ergo, another one of Joey's puppets he offered him some direction in the form of being his personal hitman, after around 15 minutes of Clu'thierier practically microwaving his brain trying to think of the pros and cons of this offer he said yes.
