So the divine Pass has released today, May 6, 2021 in beta testing, which means that it is currently not available to everyone yet.

For those that have it the cost for the Golden Pass is $9.99 with the reward dragon being the Positive Dragon, now officially released fully a year later from when it was added to the dragon book.

If it is like the Monster Legends pass than yes you can, you are still earning points up until it ends but you cannot claim any of the Golden rewards until/unless you buy it.

@dragonista I have it listed as a Divine Pass Chest under the assumption that it is new and I named it after the pass, although it looks like it only has VIP eggs in it. I guess technically it could be called a VIP chest.

Yes. In ML they are every 4 weeks. Its a little annoying to keep up with, I wish they were monthly at the same time every month but it is what it is. Though I am glad they appear to have different start weeks so hopefully they will never line up with each other, like they used to do for races. It was super exhausting trying to race in both games.

I was lucky to be a beta tester, too! And I'm thrilled to be able to explore this new feature.
I'm from Germany and my premium pass costs 8,99€. I think it's a very decent price considering the rewards that we can get.

By the way, there's a language selection menu on the bottom of the page. My link should lead you to the English version of the page, but if you encounter a language like Portugese as I did when I followed the link, just look for this menu.

I didn't buy the premium pass yet, but I'm sure I will! I didn't want to put me under too much pressure by buying it on the spot because that means that you need to do most of the daily and weekly tasks to get the maximum profit from premium, and I'm very much into maximizing potential outcomes.
And yes, I think the main purpose of the pass is to bind players more closely to the game, as it requires daily actions.
That said, you can skip some tasks too. I did a quick calculation: I got 30 points from the three daily tasks and will get 380 points if I do all the weekly tasks. The season lasts 35 days, i.e. 5 weeks. If the amount of points that you can get from tasks are the same each day / week we should be able to get a maximum of 2,950 points (30 x 35=1,050, 5 x 380=1,900 => 1,050 +1,900=2,950). But we only need 1,890 points in total so that leaves 1,060 points which can be skipped, i.e. an average of 210 points per week.

I love it that some tasks require feeding or upgrading your dragons or winning Arena fights. I'm a fighter and I'm very happy to get something different from yet another breed/hatch task. If I skip weekly tasks, these will be the breeding tasks for sure!

After a few hours with the new feature I completed the three daily tasks and 4 of the 8 weekly tasks and earned 120 points. My free rewards were a Pure Metal dragon from the Epic egg chest and a small food chest with 138k food.

Oh, and I like the Positive dragon that we can get from the pass. It's a cat 9 dragon with a trained combat power of 7,500, 7 "real" strengths and one weakness, which means he's a very decent fighter.

Mine is $7.99. I wonder if they are trying out two different price points to see how many people buy it at one, and how many at the other.

My personal opinion: I probably won't buy it, but it's not a terrible deal IF you get the points by the end of the period.

If you analyze what are available as possible prizes, I think you get 120 gems. I can get those from the piggybank for $3.99.

So if you figure that $4 of it is for gems you were probably going to buy anyway, then it's just $4 more for all the other stuff. That breaks down to:
A unique dragon and enough orbs for two stars on him
A VIP chest which may be something new for me but may not
Joker orbs which I don't really need more of except maybe for Heroic or Legendary, the rest is junk
Two rainbow token chests which are 500 tokens of various kinds, which isn't bad.
20 keys
Food and random orbs and stuff.

I think that's barely worth $4. It would definitely be a month by month consideration though, and I wouldn't even think about it until I see how close to the end of the track I get each season. If I'm for sure getting to the last gem set (1295 for me) I might actually buy it for that period.

@zzz thanks this makes sense, i was wondering why it was requiring completion of all tasks. With that in mind I will mostly skip breeding and/or some if the Arena tasks from week to week though for this first season i will not skip any until I can see for sure what the point distribution will be week to week.

I read with great interest what all of you are writing here, it helps me understand the new feature. And yes, I also am part of the beta test, but haven’t bought the pass (yet).
I am not sure about the benefits, and am generally F2P (except for very rare and low price purchases when I can’t resist ).

This is my setup:

I am L100 and my divine pass costs € 8,99.

Two things I noticed. One, the Arena requirements that ask for specific elements, you don't have to win battles with those dragons, you just have to have them on your team. And second, the contents of the small food chest is higher than normal. Usually 2 get 100,002 now it is 137,858.

It would be nice if they let us choose the dragon we get. That would be amazing.

The XL food chest is a lot lower! Has anyone else noticed this?
I’m not sure I will buy the premium, I’ll wait a while longer.

Yes, we beta testers have to accept the risk of potential bugs, crashes etc. but I still think it's a great opportunity to test this new feature and get exclusive rewards.

I wonder why the season timer and day timer are not aligned?
My season ends in 34 days 2 hrs but my day ends in roughly 5 hrs. I would have expected both to be either 2 or 5 hrs. As it is, I'm losing 3 hrs of my last day...?

EDIT: I think this is due to timezone conversion. The season end might be calculated in my local time ("Europe/Berlin") whereas the day/week end might be calculated in UTC. The 2 hrs of my season timer might well be 2:59 hrs, which would amount for not 3, but 2 hrs difference, which happens to be the difference between these two timezones due to the current daylight saving time in Germany.

I'm so tempted to buy the pass but there is something I really want to know first. Will the tasks stay the same or increase in number of tasks or items per task as the season progresses? Today's daily tasks are the same as yesterday's but will they increase after the first week? Will the weekly tasks increase each week?
I wouldn't be surprised if each week gets harder. The tasks in the heroic races get harder with each lap. Why wouldn't the Devine Pass tasks get harder each week?
I think I may wait until the second week starts before deciding if I want it.

If the pass is like it is in ML the daily tasks are always the same. The weekly tasks change but not necessarily harder, some weeks are a few more points, some less. They are range in difficulty but they are not too hard. The problem with this is DC is the constant events are going to cause conflicts, in ML there aren't many events that need breeding and hatching. And pvp battles are easier there.

If you are wavering I suggest you do the tasks to get the points.

Oh yeah in ML they have a sale price the first week, after that the price jumps, a lot, so waiting hurts you more. While it is in beta I doubt the devs will do that but I don't think they will let it stay like this where you can decide later to buy.

I've got a weekly goal that requires breeding an egg with parents that have flame, electric elements. I thought I could combine this with something useful and try to breed a Mirage egg. My parents are Love dragon (flame, electric, nature) and Ice dragon. The first breed gave a Glacial dragon egg (ice, electric, nature), and it didn't count for that goal. Ok, I thought, maybe the egg needs to have flame and electric elements too. But my second breed gave a Dujur egg (flame, electric, ice), and this too didn't count for the goal.
I think this is a bug. How about you, did you have any success with the breeding goals?

@zzz I tried the same thing but I found that each parent has to have at least one of those elements. This is one of those things that I have on my list as confusing wording.

For the weekly task breed an egg using parents with sea/nature I went simple and used single element Sea / Nature. Gave me Nenufar which counted for the task. Also counted for breeding node in the Heroic Race. So tackled 2 tasks in 1 breeding.

Ok, I caved in already and bought the pass. This is the most real money I have spent in one go in this game… I hope it is worth it. But seeing all those rewards all ready to claim made me greedy. Also I assume the price will just get higher.
I got an Impervious Diamond in my Mythic chest reward, so will be able to 1-star my other one. I am 5 points short of the positive dragon, and since there are still a few good rewards on the path, I feel it will be worth it even if I should not make it to the final reward.

Makes sense... I have always wondered if a time zone issue is why some have trouble collecting gems from finishing timed task

The black chest was about half the amount we normally get this time in the maze about 500 000 instead of the 1 million, the food chests getting lower and lower
