If we are in war and have member not active and have active members not selected for war can we kick the inactive member without messing up our war? I don't feel he should get any war prizes when he will not help. We only have 4 hrs left. Please let me know. Thanks

Obviously I am a little late to this party, but kicking inactive players is the way to go. My team is VERY gracious about people not attacking. We nag them during the war. We complain to them after the war and after three inactive wars we kick them unless they tell us beforehand they are going on vacation. I know that most teams are not this nice, but we are trying to be a friendly team and we have managed to work our ranking from 20k to 5k doing that. Still people need to fight. Why join a team if you don't want to fight?

I wanted to bring up a point to see what others thought. If cooling off period's were extended so that If a new player joins your team they would not be allowed to join in any events for 2 weeks. Also they would not be allowed to request cells for two weeks. They would be allowed to observe and play normally as if they we're playing alone but with the benefit of team chat . It would be the job of the new recruit to introduce themselves and get to know their teammates . If there were personality clashes they would be hashed out within the first two weeks . Think of it as an interview process for both the team and the players. By taking the time to get to know our neighbors they may be less likely to stab us in the back as they run off in the night. Who knows we might be teaching them something about how to get along with other people .
Anyways the point is this would stop team hopping because there is a consequence for leaving a team and that would be the two week cool down. It might also make players a little more choosy when looking for a team .
Thoughts?

Post count: 3Reputation: 0Joined:@Christina-Masson Hi. I think 2 weeks is too long. This game moves fast and anything can happen in 1 week, leave alone 2. But I like the idea and I think a period of 5 or 6 days would be enough to achieve what you are looking for.

Post count: 51Reputation: 8Joined:@Marianne-van-Es I guess I don't look at it as being a punishment but more of a cooldown. I can understand why everyone would not be in acceptance of a long cool down because we all want to get our game on!
But if we consider this as a type of relationship that we are entering into you with a bunch of other people . There are sure to be things that we like and don't like but if it isn't a good fit maybe it would be better to take it slowly and consider your options before jumping in to a new team. Or maybe a better idea would be to allow those new players to be on your team but they have to socialize and talk with the new team to get to know them before they are allowed to enter any team events . Or what about giving special privileges to team leaders so that they can select/choose the members that are active to participate in events. This would allow team leaders to have the control and moderate who is fighting and who is not . It might make matching up more accurate for active players . It would allow for people that are on vacation to go on vacation and not leave their team. It's just another option to consider but throwing it out there for the masses .

There are lots of reasons for leaving a team, besides the ones mentioned and why should I be punished because I decided to choose a different team? The last team I was on I got along well with everyone and liked everyone, but the team had a relaxed attitude about kicking inactive members and wanted to keep it that way. That was fine for them but I wanted a more structured team. So should I be punished for leaving a team that didn't kick inactive players and wanting to join a team that was more active?
Making someone socialize isn't right either. There are a lot of team mates that don't speak very good English for example that are excellent team mates and participate but don't chat as English is not their first language. I don't think it is going to make anyone a better player if they are forced to talk in chat or have a long cool down.
As it is they get kicked off teams for having the cool down times they do. I really don't believe 2 week cool downs are going to change anything except make someone quit the game.

Post count: 4Reputation: 0Joined:Part of the problem is offering new players gems to join a team. A lot of them join just for the gems and they have no intention of ever joining a war. I wish there was fewer constant reminders to join a team, or at least hold off the gem rewards until somebody has participated in x number of wars.
I also love the idea of giving the lead power to choose who gets to fight.

what do you mean by offering gems to join a team?

Post count: 1188Reputation: 1038Joined:Location: AustraliaI think rather than punishing disloyalty, loyalty should be rewarded!
There was a post about this on FB a while ago with an excellent idea: after a player has participated in a set number of wars, say 50 or so, their status is elevated from 'Soldier' to 'Knight' and receives a 5% bonus on all war coins earned. And maybe there could even be a second tier with a 10% bonus that is also tied to a minimum contribution rate of say >90%.
Penalising with a two week cooldown for leaving or being kicked out of a team is just ludicrous!

I think that would be a question for @Fox who could pass this onto the development team. Please have a read of my post above Fox. Cheers, David

Post count: 489Reputation: 98Joined:On our Team, we require all new Teammates to make only 1 GOOD QUALITY ATTACK in each of their first 3 Wars! I also do a "comparison" between our Team & the Opponent. I then make a list of Assigned Matchup Attacks for all Teammates. This helps stop BOTTOM FEEDING if they have required assigned attacks! If they make one Random Attack & they could have maybe won that attack, I give a warning, reminding them of their Assigned Matchup Attacks. If they make an "impossible attack", they get no second chance! I've had a few with Level 20 monsters attack the Triple 100 Bases! I even had one guy cuss me out because he made 5 attacks& 3 of those were Bases 1/2/3! This helps eliminate the players who are joining just for Cells or War Coins! We have "No Cells until 4th War" posted in our Team Description. When a new player asks for Cells, I post a message to that player by name in Chat & tell them that & "This is your only Warning!" By then, I have also posted the Team Rules at least once! If they request a 2nd time, the player is kicked! As far as Attacks are concerned, we require one but I post 2 for them to do one or both! I post these Attacks at least 3 times before Attack Day begins then at least 5 times before the War ends! I then post those who have not made any Attacks with the Warning of how much time they have left! New players to the Team are kicked 2 hours before the War ends! We don't carry over anyone who has not made Attacks unless I know beforehand! I let one War go by last week without kicking anyone because I wasn't sure if players were in Florida or not unless they were able to "request Cells"! I figured if they could request Cells, they could attack! Our Team has been in 165 Wars & won 129! Some Teams say "We never kick" but we were in War where all Teammates were inactive out of 30 except for the Lead & 2 Co-Leads! It was very sad! They were Ranked in the Top 4000 Teams but had lost 10/10!
