Hello everyone and welcome to my 113th analysis, this time featuring Brynhilda.
Brynhilda has great damage output, both with her moves and her Base Strength stat. She is also one of the few Water monsters to be immune to Possession, with the release of monsters such as Vodyanoy and Enypiast making this more valuable-plus, she can resist Mommy and Violet's Possessions in the Female book and Laomu's Possession in Good Legions-she's also faster than Brontes there. However, she faces harsh conditions in Water Wars as she's one of the slowest deniers of that element and even in an attacker build runs the risk of getting Frozen.
-Call Me Brynhilda/Icy Breath
Runes: 3 Speed//2 Strength 1 Speed
Crystal Heart is an AOE Freeze move. Short Temper is unresisted, 70 Base Power damage with 0 CD, which will definitely hurt any target. Call Me Brynhilda is another AOE move that can also apply Possession to all enemies, but if you don't like the odds, Icy Breath Freezes a single target for sure and gives Brynhilda a Damage Boost. Lastly, Royal Look does minor damage, but more importantly it Possesses the target and gives it Double Damage, though the DD is 2 turns so be very careful. 3 Speed is a denier build whereas 2 Strength 1 Speed is an attacker build.
Teammates: As a denier, every team needs one. As an attacker, Watinhart can give her weak AOE(s) a much needed boost.
Countering Brynhilda: Almost any Water denier is faster than Brynhilda and can deny her due to a lack of Freeze immunity. Caillech is the best counter as a Female: she gives her team Freeze immunity vs. her AOE, has higher Speed to Freeze her before she moves and innately has a Freeze immunity herself. In Good Legions, White Pandalf can Stun her to buy time for his teammates.
