While there are many great attackers in the Underworld, there are fewer deniers.
Here are the Underworld monsters ranked by their speed:
- Lilysha, Klectus, Nishant's Pet, Demise
- Greedy Dragon
- Tyros, Kaih the Eradicator
- Barbatos, Erebus, Rador
- The Judgement
- Lord Moltus
- The Ringer
- Worker Hulk
No tiers here as there are so few deniers in this book:
Tied in first for speed is Nishant's Pet who also happens to be a great denier. It has an AoE possession skill and 2 single possession skills to choose from. While not denial based, another great skill gives enemies Debilitating Shadows, making them take an additional 80% damage from all dark sources. Unlike many other Generals and their pets, it's immune to possession itself. So long as the enemy isn't immune to possession, Nishant's Pet will keep the enemy attacking itself.
Metalhëad is one of the more versatile monsters. He deals high damage, but he also does a fair bit of denial. He can stun all enemies, burn all enemies, and possess a target. Even though he may not be the greatest pure attacker or denier, his versatility is awesome.
The only problem with Lilysha is that her denial skills only target single enemies, rather than the whole team (I considered ranking her lower because of this). Thankfully, there is some diversity there: stun and possession. In fact, one of her possession skills (she has two) possesses for 2 turns!
Demise is not a denier in the traditional sense. She doesn't, necessarily, immobilize the enemy. However, her skill Strength from Beyond is a MUST have. It gives an ally double damage and an immediate extra turn. If that boosted monster is strong enough, it could very well kill off the entire enemy team! This skill is also amazing in that you don't have to worry about putting a single speed rune on your attacker, you can focus solely on strength. So long as Demise goes before the enemy (and she's tied as the fastest Underworld monster), so will your attacker! The rest of her skills are support-based: remove debuffs from your team while giving them a damage boost, remove buffs from the enemy team, give 2 random debuffs to an enemy. The reason I don't rank her higher as a pure denier is that her Strength from Beyond skill is totally reliant on the monster who benefits from it. If your attacker isn't strong enough to kill something, she's completely wasted.
Kaih the Eradicator, Barbatos, Greedy Dragon, Rador, The Ringer, Tephra, Atlas, Tyros, The Judgement, Klectus, Worker Hulk, and Balrog are attackers.
Erebus is a secondary attacker/supporter. Lord Moltus and Vadamagma are out-classed attackers. Ouros is a tank.
