I would like a room where I could take any three of my owned monsters and perform a battle against three others of my monsters being run by CPU or just standing there to soak up damage and regenerate.

The way I picture it, there would be a toggle for CPU or no CPU.
So what is NO CPU mode? Is that were you get to run both sides of the battle?

I would hope that we could change their opinion. That is the whole idea of the idea generator section. If a person could test out different combinations of monsters it would help them improve themselves in the game. SP benefits from more people playing their games whether they are F2P or P2P. The more people that watch those monsterwood videos has to be increased revenue for SP. So that is reason one for a danger room.
Number 2 is gems. SP sells gems. I am starting to use more gems to move runes around. If there was a danger room, it would only increase the likelihood that I might move runes around as I try to improve my arena defense team. Moving runes means possibly using gems, which for some means money.

And SP don't let you have unlimited time doing it do they? Still only 4 fights every 30 minutes.
I could use my commons to go through the first island - SP still want to limit my gameplay.
