When SP increased the prices in the team shop (with Thetys et al. reaching 2,500 coins per 100 cells), one argument was to set the prices to reflect the quality of the monsters.

So, from my perspective (as a pretty mediocre player, level 90, MP around 45,000), how good does SP think that the best team shop monsters are?

I had a quick look at my statistics. Over the last few weeks I estimate that I gain approximately 3 elementium per day (sometimes more, if we are in a weak team race group). I also seem to gain about 20 gems per day on average (a bit more if there are special events such as the birthday hand-outs). Regarding war coins, my team hovers around 10k coins per 90 days in SP's statistics. This means our pay-out will be around 6700 coins per 90 days (assuming we win half our wars, which should be the case if match-making works as it should), which amounts to about 75 coins per day.

To obtain a fully ranked monster we need 1770 cells (or 18 monsters if they can only be purchased in whole numbers).

If I assume that elementium can be used also for the initial monster (which it cannot, but let us say that we ignore this for simplicity), we get the following times required to obtain a fully ranked monster:

Using elementium: 590 days (frat events and team races not included).

Using war coins: 600 days (for Thetys, Atum, Ingvar, Darmith, etc.).

Using gems, with 249 per monster: 225 days

Using gems, with 150 per monster (3-for-2 cell events): 135 days.

This basically tells me that SP thinks the team shop monsters are the very best monsters you can possibly obtain (except the cash-monsters). Is this really consensus among players?

I used to think that I would some day obtain a level 130 Thetys. I will not. Perhaps, one day, I will be able to obtain a level 130 Demise, though.

How about you?
