Hello everyone and welcome to my 190th analysis, this time featuring Kihaku.
Overview: Kihaku's Speed isn't what it used to be back in the day, but this doesn't deter from his usage because he's one of the few monsters that inflicts two instances of deny effects in a single attack - even in terms of Speed, Kihaku sits at one of the most important benchmarks in the game at 3476, tying with the likes of Hackster, Dungeon Master and Hydratila the Riftmaker. These traits, combined with the ever so handy Hardened make Kihaku a great denier whose name is known all around Monster Legends. However, Kihaku cannot avoid fierce competition from powerful modern deniers such as Mirak, Zeighar and Warmaster Thalassa, monsters who are blazing fast and have very useful status effects besides denying, plus his relatively high Stamina consumption can pose some issues.
Runes: 3 Speed
Mutant Rune options: Speed&Life
Kuzushi is Kihaku's trademark attack that Freezes and Possesses all enemies - while this may seem counterprodutive at first, it is crucial against monsters that are immune to one deny method but not the other, and also against Hardened variants. Katsu Jinken is a nerfed Kuzushi with 0 CD, and the dual deny effects at 50% chance makes it so that it will very likely nail a monster or two on the enemy team. Agatsu is a single target Kuzushi, but you can run Kiai instead of this to increase the survivability of your team. Lastly, Mokuso provides crucial buff removal which is very powerful nowadays.
3 Speed with Life Mutations is the standard for deniers.
Kihaku can hold 2 Traps, making him a good option for a Pestilence Trap team.
