I haven't paid much attention to it, but when I click on "help" it says you just have to hatch the monsters?

I have several monsters that aren't showing up in Chapter 1 in several books. Interestingly they do show for chapter 2. I didn't check other chapters.

Is there something more you have to do?

There are tabs on the left hand side of the pages, and if you have completed rank 1 for all of the monsters in the collection, then it by default shows rank 2 - and if you haven't ranked any of them up then it means you don't have them!

@Renee-Jackson For each chapter in each book there is a list of monsters which you have to rank up. The higher the rank, the higher the chapters. You will not see all chapters until you have at least one monster of that chapter at that rank. As you rank up each monster of that chapter to that rank, you will complete the chapter and receive the rewards for the chapter. The first chapter, or chapter 0 is for just having the monsters. Then it goes through the five chapters for the five ranks.

Now as to the trick of completing chapters, that will be up to you.
