Hello everyone and welcome to my 205th analysis, this time featuring Xiron the Ruby.
Overview: Ruby's ability to deny enemies is infamous among the playerbase, and he used to be the undisputed best denier at his release. His Speed tier of 3509 is not what it used to be, but is nonetheless not too shabby, since it is backed up by Possession Immunity and Tough, which give him a chance against faster deniers. Most of his attacks apply Ignite to pressure enemies while they're denied, so Ruby isn't low on damage like most other deniers. His array of deny effects is vast, containing Stamina Drain, CD Activation, and most importantly random deny effects, which will almost always result in at least one Mega deny effect. This is because Ruby is special among Xiron forms in that his weapon-specific moves apply random deny effects twice, which not only counters Hardened variants, but also results in Mega denies. As stated before, Ruby's main weakness is being slower than most modern deniers, but don't think even for a second that Ruby is weak.

Builds:
Monsters that have access to Group 4 skills will have a slightly different build path. I will list the most viable builds for each Rank since some moves in Group 4 are pivotal to some sets' success. The monster's role will likely remain the same, however, so this won't be exhaustingly long as I won't repeat the same things.

Rank 0:
Moves:
-Ruby Implosion
-Total Exhaustion
-Control Dice
-Major Exhaustion
Runes: 3 Speed
Mutant Rune options: Speed&Life
Relics: Masks and Staves

Build Explanation:
Ruby Implosion is one of the strongest single target moves in the game, applying 2 random deny effects and Ignite to its target. This is very effective in general, but is especially effective against Hardened variants since it applies two deny effects. Total Exhaustion is another single target deny move that drains 100% Stamina from its target. Control Dice is Ruby's only way of denying multiple monsters, so it's used in case you need it despite the 50% chance. Lastly, Major Exhaustion is a nice follow up to Total Exhaustion, plus it puts pressure on enemies.
3 Speed with Life Mutations is a standard on deniers.

Rank 1: Ruby learns "Mineral Blood" at this level, a single target CD Activation.
Moves:
-Ruby Implosion
-Total Exhaustion
-Control Dice
-Mineral Blood
Runes and Mutant Runes are the same as given above.

Build Explanation:
Mineral Blood's power against Artifacts, plus the diversity it adds to Ruby's arsenal of deny effects makes it a must have move at this point.

Rank 2: Ruby learns "Laying Odds" at this level, a Base 55 Magic AOE that applies Stamina Leak and a random deny effect to all enemies.
Moves:
-Ruby Implosion
-Total Exhaustion/Major Exhaustion
-Laying Odds
-Mineral Blood/Major Exhaustion
Runes and Mutant Runes are the same as given above.

Build Explanation:
Laying Odds is an improved Control Dice, finally giving Ruby the AOE deny move he needs. It has much higher Base Power than said move, and the deny is guaranteed. With it, Ruby can afford to run Major Exhaustion again, over any of his single target deny moves.

Rank 3: Ruby learns "Ruby Explosion" at this level, a Base 45 Fire AOE that applies Ignite and 2 random deny effects to all enemies.
Moves:
-Ruby Implosion/Major Exhaustion/Laying Odds
-Total Exhaustion/Major Exhaustion/Laying Odds
-Ruby Explosion
-Mineral Blood/Major Exhaustion/Laying Odds
Runes and Mutant Runes are the same as given above.

Build Explanation:
Ruby Explosion is Ruby's trademark attack, and is arguably one of the most powerful deny moves in the game, being an AOE version of Ruby Implosion. Major Exhaustion is now an option over Ruby Implosion if no Dodge Area monsters are present, or you can run Laying Odds over the same options. Just don't run both Laying Odds and Major Exhaustion as that'll leave you weak against Control Immune or Dodge Area monsters.
