The buffed island is useful as a reference for keeping track of what is currently buffed and the buff duration. The %s shown are wrong since they are rounded to the nearest integer, but give a handy if basic rough guide.
More importantly: if the devs are looking to drop the buffed island because they are finding real estate to put another new feature: don't. Put all new features on hold.
This game became popular on initial simplicity, aesthetically rendered. It matured with the added complexity of wars, which allowed the players - not the devs - to create a social dynamic that has carried this game since. Despite all the extra unnecessary and unwanted layers that keep being added ad nauseam.
My very strongly held view is that this game could do with 6 months of Nothing New. Just fixing bugs, working hard to find a solution to uneven matchmaking, and polishing existing features.
I would even say that a return to the days when new monsters were added so seldom that there was eager anticipation, intense speculation and dissection of each new monster, would be a really good thing.
Leave the buffed island alone. If you want to tinker with it, put accurate buff %s.
