I was looking for some possible guidance on what to use for my attack and Defense teams. I currently have a small selection of legendaries all between levels 45 and 70. They are vadamagma, Barbatos, rockantium, VoltaiK, timerion, thordor, patrion, tempest, the judgement and the firestorm. Any and all help is appreciated!

@steve-johnson Voltaik could be good on defense if you have him skilled with all of the extra turn skills. Also he would then need at least one stamina rune, preferably your best. I use him on attack, since on defense he has a tendency to use his ultimate, which end his extra turns early. Timerion is also good on defense, I don't have him and REALLY hate running into him. You ideally need a denier on each team. I am guessing that will be Timerion and Tempest. If Tempest, he is not really good on defense, since I believe it is just the one AOE stun that he has. I would use him on offense. Can't really say much about the rest, since I don't have all of them. Vadamagma is an OK attacker if given lots of strength runes, but is not particularly fast.

I am guessing you are in lower gold pvp ranks at best, in which case...
Tim-and-Volt is a classic attack pairing. Tim all speed. Volt runes depends on their level. Anything above VI can run team speed, stamina, strength. The 3rd monster can be anything (don't ignore your epics) as long as it runs all team speed. Tim will either go first or second. If he goes first, Stop Time the next in the turn order and either Cooldowns Activated or Space Time depending on the opposition. Tim controls the field until Volt gets a go and kills things. If Tim goes second, he is immune to denial so he can still control the field until Volt gets a go.
Bear in mind your defence can face the same assault. But that has been a problem forever, only really solved with the arrival of Riftmaker and Faraday (to a lesser extent, Tesaday, who does ok vs Volt but gets smashed by anything else).
You have limited denial options so be creative and try things out. Vadamagma is frequently underestimated and hits hard. Currently buffed I believe. You could try something with triple threat, daring the attacker to miss. Barbatos (both extra turn buff moves, to make possession very risky, MoP natch, and Hellfire), Patrion (stun immune, lots of nasty debuffs and DoT), Vada - all 2 speed 1 strength - would really get up in the face of an attacker that fails to neutralize all of them on opening.
It is advisable to ensure all your defence monsters have a 0 cooldown attack.
When you are attacking, you will get a sense of what you don't enjoy facing on defence. Take your cues from that experience. Experiment and have fun! Lastly, don't forget your relics.
