I am a new player, level 14.

I opened up two chest rewards containing monsters, and did not receive them after I hit Collect. I also completed all the daily missions today and did not receive the Ingenica legendary monster which was supposed to be part of the reward.

I don't have eggs for them, and they don't appear in my monster collection, or storage.

What happened to them?

Hi and welcome to forum

in the photo the reward is 1 Ingenica cell not 1 monsters
when you open the lab you can craft the monster if you have 100 cells .. or 80 monster cells + 20 Elementium cells .. or use those cell to rank up your monster if you already have it
same for chest most of times it give cells- sometime monsters - but probably it was cells in your case

Hi and thank you for replying. Yes, you are correct. I thought it was for the monster and i saw cells mentioned but I didn't know what they meant as I am new. Thank you for clarifying!
