Event showed up on monster-wiki. According to monster-wiki to get Thyra you'll need at least 24780 coins, if you're unlucky last card will cost 35180 coins. Is it me or they increased amount of coins needed?

For me it's not. On Sir Automatronicus 72 hour challenge I was around level 30 and and I'd get 750 coins after collecting 30000 food from farms (that's 40 food=1 coin), now being level 38 for 30k food I get 520 coins (that's 57,6 food=1 coin). Glad I'm won't participate in this event.

Interesting. But we can assume the principle described in the wiki is still valid, that is, we should try to earn as much gold and produce as much food as possible?
Breeding Pandaken seems like an exhausting exercise, according to the table it's 5 points for each Pandaken.

Pandaken takes 30 second to hatch and I would say that is pretty good if you get 5 coins but I am seeing 2 coins for fast breedings or none

The food coin rates for the higher levels are the best they've been in many months.
620 food = 1 coin, meaning (with no food temple or whatever) 2258 coins per hour instead of 504 if you grow the 5m type (Lotus root) on all farms.

It could be the first time ever I get all three, even though I'd be content with just Thyra.

Just collected another 30k of food, went from 1114 coins to 1634 (same 520). But maybe it's just me not being lucky, I'll try to grow more food and see how much coins I'll get.

Be sure to grow one 30s item after you collect and then take it to ensure getting all you should get.
I have no idea why, but often you don't get the entire pool without doing that.

I will have to try that to see if it makes a difference.

It works for me, so thanks Archer160. same goes for breeding if you dont get coins for a longtime breeder, breed a 30 sec one and you get the coins (that one i did know )

Big fan of this event. Just growing food i am up to 36,484 coins already.

Will get at least the 3 monsters and the rest of the resources, and probably get them a second time without spending anything but gold to replenish my food.

I only have 2100 coins so far.

If I am lucky I might get Furhem, but I already have him anyway.

This one seems to be easier for us high levels to gather coins. So far I am done Thyra and Chill Bill and halfway through finishing Furhem. I have not had such an easy time to finish so quickly for 3 or 4 challenges. I hope I am not jinxing future challenges by say this here.

I'm going for my second round soon, not for the monsters but the glitch cells

Thanks for answering, unfortunately for me that does not matter because I have had to go to the last card for each monster, as is normal for me.

And yet again I end up on the last card for Thyra. Doesn't matter what rank the monster is I always end up having to go to the last card....now for Chill Bill! Seems easier this time, am getting a lot more coins.

I always go to the last card, I would be shocked if I didn't.

I must say this event is a very welcomed surprise. For once it is much more forgiving to upper level players.

Here's hoping this is the new norm.

Curious. My daughter actually picked Olafur in the last challenge when I had 6 cards left. So there seems a chance to get a monster before the last card. But all other puzzles, I was unlucky and had to open all

Am on round 2 now as unbelievably got all 3 monsters and all cards. All monsters were on the last card though. Now just aiming for Glitch cells and gems. Might finally hatch my Glitch after this as I can rank him up now.

I still need about 8k coins to get Thyra - and I didn't even bother with Furhem or Chill Bill.

Looks like a hefty 320+ gems purchase to get this punk.

All 14 huge farms farming Black Lotus Root and activate the 3 star farming guardian

You pretty much need to make food non-stop with a 3 star guardian to maximize your coins. It also helps to plan in advance to start saving gold, even if it puts a halt to upgrades in other areas.

There is a pretty steep hill to get over in terms of progress in this game in terms of gold generation versus upgrades/food making, but if you make it over things become a bit less hectic.

For reference, I'm in the level 80-89 bracket for this 72H challenge, I had 2.2B gold stored up (started saving as soon as I saw the Thyra leak on Taringa), activated my food guardian the morning the challenge started (it just ended now), and farmed the 5M black lotus root in all 14 farms continually, only missing re-farms while sleeping. I ended up working through about all of the gold during the 2 days of boost and ended up with 190k+ coins, which should be enough to complete all 3 rounds.

If you're level 90+ you'll need to do a bit more to gain enough to get through round 3 as you'd earn half as many coins for gold collection and about 23% less per food generated.

Don't know if they'll keep this format, but it's much much friendlier to the higher levels now.

Am now on level 125 and only had 750m in gold. Activated the food guardian and grew as many of the 5m food as I could. PvP fights were giving 115 coins every time. Its only the second time I've been able to ever get all 3 monsters in a 72 hour challenge, so I can only say that they have done something to coin generation rates.

After huge struggle got Chill Bill on last card. Though I was going for gems and runes, rather than monster itself.

this was absolutely the best 72 hr challenge they have had made it through all 3 rounds only cost me 4 billion in gold to grow food

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but please bear in mind that there will be another gold nerf... Remember how SP got rid of the glitches war coins some teams received in the early days of team wars..? They introduced cheap lvl 9 runes...just a friendly warning
