Fae Queen Castle guide and maps.
We can collect 800 coins every 8 hours. That will be 9600 plus 820 from the start = 10420 in total. Collection times are explained below.
Dragons we can get:
Slugabed (#920)
Ironheart (#694)
Monarch (#921)

Explanations for the maps:
There are numbers on the maps and you can see there if it is for phone or PC. Black is forward and red is backtracking.

1. Is for Ironheart only. Will cost 8545 coins. (white forward, green backtrack)
2. Only new dragons. Will cost 6300 coins.
3. This one is for all dragons. Will cost 12430 coins.
4. This is a special map. It only shows the location of Fae orbs. The letter tells what orbs and the number shows how many.
   

Collection times:
Open the eventwindow. In the upper right corner besides the event name you see the timer .
This timer started with ....days,23hours,59minutes (on phone it doesnt show minutes).
It will count down to 00d 00h 00m.
You have three timewindows of 8 hours every day to collect 800 eventpoints (coins).
Ignore the days , just check hours and minutes of the timer.
These are the timewindos to collect the coins:
23h59m-16h00m.
15h59m-08h00m.
07h-59m-00h00m
So you have 8 hours to collect the full amount of points. After that time a new timewindow will start and you start collection for the next 800 points. So it is possible to get ready with collecting 800 points ten minutes before the window ends and then after 10 minutes collect again 800 points because the next timewindow started. Just bring the time the timer shows in relation to the time your clock shows and you find the times for your timezone. I hope this is helpful.

you need atleast 12512 coin to get all 3 dragon.

just Monarch and Slugbed alone is 6450 coin.

@v0danh As told... we are working on it. It takes some time to calcualte cheapest routes and we are not on 24/7.

For those that don't have the first 4 Faes, I spent some time in flightmode and found the following:

195 coin cost Trickster chest contains 10 orbs

210 coin cost Crested chest one space left and 3 spaces down from starting point contains 3 orbs

210 coin cost Crested chest three spaces right and 1 space up from starting point contains 2 orbs

235 coin cost Crested chest contains 5 orbs

210 coin cost Seism chest contains 10 orbs

235 coin cost Seism chest contains 10 orbs

290 coin cost Galaxy chest contains 2 orbs

450 coin cost Galaxy chest in lower left corner contains 5 orbs

In the chest you described as having 3 crested fae dragon orbs I only received 2 orbs for it. Could it possibly be 2 or three?

from a few sources, seem like only possible to get

Slugabed + ironheart or slugabed + monarch,

question is, should we go for Epic 4element or Legendary 3element...

This so far seems to be the only difference between the same coin cost chests. I’ve corrected my post above. Sorry I didn’t catch that sooner.

My layout is not the same as the map below, I am on Android. Never know it to be different before. Monarch and slugabed in different places.

Got my Fae Queen finally after 14 tries, now I can concentrate on trying to get the Swamp dragon. Hopefully we will be able to collect enough coins for Slugabed and Monarch also.

I know you guys are not 24/7 on it, I respect that really. Just wondering 'roughly' how long it'll take for a pathing map per dragon? Or at least the Ironheart

@Nynaevelan I have tried 7 times for swamp, I do think breeding events are a but too much, they should never take as many goes in s short time. Bad SP

Most paths I've calculated require around 9000 coins to get all pieces of ironheart (along with slugabed) so it's not probable to get ironheart until close to the end of this island (probably last or second to last coin window). Unless you're incredibly lucky and get lots of coins from videos.

Of course this means that breeding for evanescent fae is out of reach unless you spend gems to speed up the 48 hour hatch for ironheart to make it in time to maybe have 1 breed attempt. Or more gems to speed that up...

(This discussion is only relevant for free to play players. If you want to spend real money, you can get ironheart already.)

Does anyone know what happens if you don’t get all the fae dragons?

agreed, depend on your luck and saving up Gems for the speedup hatching,
one time i got lucky and got the right dragon breeding literally 10s before breeding event end.

@V-1, I think what @Pazsword is referring to is the upcoming rewards rumor after the heroic race:

You get all 5 faes and get yggdrasil, they award you 30 yggdrasil orbs.

If you empower all 5 faes to get them to 1 star and have yggdrasil, you get another 40 yggdrasil orbs.

If you empower all 5 faes to get them to 2 stars and have yggdrasil, you get another 50 yggdrasil orbs.

If you empower all 5 faes to get them to 3 stars and have yggdrasil, you get another 200 yggdrasil orbs.

Basically, the more empowered your faes are, the higher the chance you can have multiple yggdrasils or an empowered yggdrasil (after getting the one from the race first).

This is for those of you who want to spend all the free coins from all the collection windows to get both Ironheart and Slugabed. Cost is 9555. Map is for Mobile.

@V.1 I didn't explain it since "leaks" might be looked down upon by any Social Point mods here, and didn't want to take the risk. But anyway, yeah that's pretty much it. The more empowered your Fae Dragons the more Yggdrasil orbs you can get after getting Yggdrasil from the race.

Does anyone know, though, if we will actually need to use all the Fae dragons in the upcoming heroic race, or if a player might be at a disadvantage somehow completing nodes or something like that if they have all the regular Faes but not Evanescent? As another player asked above, what actually might happen in the heroic race if someone doesn't have all the Fae dragons?

Finally got Swamp after 4 failed tries. This is my first successful breeding event out of dozens. I agree with you however. It's just luck of the draw and the only way you can increase your chances is to spend gems (and/or real money) for speedups. Otherwise, do like I do: it's just a game and if you get it great, otherwise these dragons will come around eventually.

@frankenberry Your map is perhaps correct drawn. But the numbers are wrong. Backtracking is 5 coins as you can see on my maps.

@Bettina-Löffler I haven't actually even opened my island to do its tutorial yet. I was just passing on that map from someone else. However I'll take your word for the backtracking over theirs and that brings the cost to 9555, but still attainable for those that want to spend all the free coins from every coin window and get both Ironheart and Slugabed. I've corrected the cost in my original post too. Thanks for catching it.

9 tries for Swamp so far, I am thinking this one might not be a success since I keep getting pure hybrids. My cost is less than 50 so far.

Unfortunately I keep wasting gems on those card packs for merchant.

@V.1 I doubt the Fae Dragons will have any impact with completing nodes in the race or the race itself, because that would be sorta giving an unfair advantage to players that do have all the fae dragons. Maybe they will be used for arena tournaments?
Also, I'm pretty sure if a player doesn't have all the fae dragons they just won't get any bonus orbs for Yggdrasil.
Edit: Oh, dear. Apparently there is a new mission in this Heroic Race that is called a "Quest mission" where you must complete a quest to complete the node or something. It said having the fae dragons would give you an advantage... well RIP everyone who didn't have Ironheart before this event started...

If you get 32 hours on Ironheart + Galaxy Fae, can it be anything other than Evanescent Fae?

Wow that's a bummer for you both. I had the same feverish experience trying to get Ternion. Used jokers, had two going at once, spent tons of gems. Never got Ternion but did get the lesson that if it's gonna happen, then so be it, otherwise, I'd rather save gems for expansion, etc.

Yes. I got a Norse instead. That is the only other possible result.

@Bettina-Löffler I am almost ready to start walking this island so I can get Ironheart and start breeding with Galaxy, but also wanted Slugabed so I did the math for Mobile above to see if I will have enough left over to grab Slugabed with remaining coins.

I found that I keep getting 8565 for cost, not 8755.

Excellent, I'm glad we can check each other's work

So for everyone else following, 10420 - 8545 = 1875 left after getting Ironheart per Mobile map 1 above. Backtracking for Slugabed pieces later after you get the rest of your coins will cost 1260.

If you're like me and need Ironheart now to breed with Galaxy before that event ends, you should be able to spend your current coins on the path above and then continue collecting to come back and get Slugabed.

Now I just need to wait for one more coin window, then speed up Ironheart's 48h hatch and hope breed with Galaxy is successful...

I'm trying to combine 2 & 4, & have been wildly unsuccessful thus far. Anyone do better than 12k plus? I did it a bit haphazardly, so I'm sure there's a better way out there. It'd just be nice to make good use of all those extra coins (e.g., with the fae orbs.) Thanks for the above maps, though!

Got Ironheart after the last free coin window 3.5 hours ago. Hatched Ironheart early for 12 gems.

Bred with Galaxy attempt #1: 9 hours/Korean Soccer. Waited until now then sped up with 4 gems.
Bred with Galaxy attempt #2: 20 hours/Matura Natura. Sped up with 8 gems.
Bred with Galaxy attempt #3: 36 hours/Evanescent Fae!!!

Never been this lucky with breed events before (Swamp and Evanescent Fae).

Will Mage Tower Evanescent Fae 36h breed in about 3 hours when hatchery slot opens and then speed up with probably 12 gems to hatch before Fae Savior event ends so I can get Flavored dragon.

Cost: around 36 gems. Worth it for 3 legendaries methinks. Also completing the Fae Collection gives back 15 gems so Total Cost: 21 gems. Woooohooo!

@frankenberry The Fae Savior collection is in the book. These are permanent collections.

@Kristine-Maloney I have my own route to get the 2 brand new dragons and chests I saw players showing the location.

Totally given up now trying to breed FAE queen, 15 attempts and now some 44 hr Dragon. I really wonder if this game is worth the effort. Mot to mention even more tries at swamp. Only game I know where prize is a total chance.

@Kevin-N-Scott Honestly I think the guardians in ML are better than the ones in Dragon City for some of them. For example, the breeding guardian in ML shortens all breeding times by a certain amount for 1-2 days, while Damona in Dragon City reduces it by 8 hours and has a 4-5 day cooldown. The bright side of the guardians here is that there is a hatching guardian, while in ML there is a lack of a hatching guardian despite a desperate need for one.

OMG, I can not believe...second try and I got the Evanescent Dragon!!! It has been forever since I’ve had a successful breeding.

Swamp? That’s a whole different story!

What's the best place to breed for the Evanescent Dragon? Rock? Tree? Sanctuary?

@Curious-Soul Never use the Sanctuary for breeding events. There are so many more different results with long breedings possible. Mountain or tree is ok.

Argh... 5 tries and 66 gems blown, still no Evanescent Fae... The only successful breeding event I've done so far is one Samba dragon from the Dragon Wars event... Does anyone know the exact chances of getting one of these things?
