Does cell cost in Monster Lab increase after you buy cells or does it remain the same? For example how much would 20 Glitch cells cost, 60 gems or more? Does anyone now?

Cell cost in Monster Lab

If you want to find out the cost do the wifi trick.
Open ML then turn off your cell data and wifi. Be sure they are both off before doing the next step. Then go back to ML and buy what you wish. Kill the game then turn open it again and you will be back to what you were before you turned off your data and wifi.
I did the test and this is the cost for 92 cells. I am not sure if the price differs when you buy when monster cell week is not going on.

Cell cost in Monster Lab
Post count: 112Reputation: 24Joined:Thank you all for replies. I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy Glitch cells in current cell sale. I got 60 cells from Thyra 72 hour challenge, so with current sale I'd need to buy 20 (since for every bought cell you'll get 1 for free) cells to craft him.

First 10 purchases are at 3 gems each, so with the BOGO active you'll receive 20 cells for 30 gems. Cost goes up progressively after that.

So it's not worth it then. Ok, thanks a lot.

This is about as cheap as you get in terms of gems per cell when you're buying up to 20 in BOGO, so that is definitely worth it.
It's generally not worth buying a ton of cells from the shop as it gets expensive, but if I'm looking to rank something or if teammates are looking for particular cells I'll pick up all the value buys, which are cells at under 2.5gems per cell (used to be 2.25, but now that monsters cost 250 gems per it increased slightly).

Yes, but I'd need to buy 20 cells, and you said that after 10 cells price goes up progressively.

After 10 purchases the price starts to go up. When not in a Cell Week BOGO promotion that would be after 10 cells. But since it's Buy One Get One Free, 10 purchases is 20 cells.
My team tries to take advantage of BOGO promos as much as we can afford to, to not only grab cells for ourselves, but also teammates as 1.5 gems per cell is about as cheap as you'll get outside of pricing errors or incredible breeding luck.

I need 40 cells, so to get that I'd need to buy 20. Which will get rather expensive I imagine.

Ah okay, in your first post you said 20 cells, which is fairly cheap. If you follow @Marianne-van-Es great chart above, the next 20 would cost 46 more gems. 76 gems for 40 cells is still pretty good average value. If I don't need things right away I try to only buy from the first tier though.

76 gems is pretty good value actually. Considering that for that I'll get a monster, even with another 40 gems for rune slots it's still cheaper than buying a monster.

Post count: 74Reputation: 58Joined:I did a video on this a while ago. My recording lines up with what Haka Taka and Marianne Van Es posted.
So if you purchase 80 cells for a single monster that you're crafting for the first time, it would cost a total of 240 gems.
You can fill the remaining cells with elementium and so it's not necessarily a "bad" price for a legendary, however some would argue that elementium is too valuable to use up for crafting. It's better to use it to rank up a VIP monster or a Nemesis monster, considering cells for them are hard to come by and it's cheaper than buying multiples. As for purchasing 100 cells, I imagine it'd be waaaay too many gems.If you play with your friends or talk to your teammates, I recommend the following:
Talk to them and figure out what cells they need.
Offer to purchase the cells they need from the cell shop if they will trade you or purchase the cells you need from the cell shop.
The price only increases when purchasing the same cells. You can purchase different cells from different monsters without the increased price.
Then teammates simply swap cells and it's overall cheaper for everyone and everyone gets the cells they wanted. For example:
let's say Teammate A needs 40 Frostbite cells and Teammate B needs 40 Voltaik cells.
Both could spend 76 gems each to get 40 cells of the monster they need.
Together that's 152 gems spent between the 2 players.
OR
Teammate A could buy 20 Frostbite cells and 20 Voltaik cells.
Teammate B could buy 20 Frostbite cells and 20 Voltaik cells.
Teammate A trades his Voltaik cells to Teammate B, who gives back Frosbite cells.
Both players end up with 40 cells of the monster they originally wanted.
Both could 60 gems each, for a total of 120 gems between the two players. The more teammates you can get to trade cells with, the cheaper it ends up being. It takes longer, but it's well worth it!

Yep, the Rares sold for gold go up also, I forget what the total is to buy 200 cells, I want to say close to 4M gold, but pretty sure it's between 2-4M at least
Was a great deal when we actually had wars that required Rares, haha.
