When giving an age under 18 on ml /fb players can’t connect their game anymore....
what happens to them , they can’t ask friends for stamina because they can’t connect...and how do they have to sve their game ??

This has happened to me as well! I pray this can be resolved! I'm a mom who took over son's game lol. So my facebook account I made was in sons name but used my bday. When confronted with an issue, I presented facebook with sons birth certificate and ss card. So as my son is of course under 13, I lost my facebook account and it was connected to my ml game. I hate that I can't send or receive stamina or gifts anymore.

It's quite absurd that you can spend money on the game but not connect to FB.
I guess players should be able to reclaim all money spent on such accounts.

I wouldn't think underage players are much of a concern for SP since they don't have jobs with lots of disposable income to spend on gem packs.

@Frunobulax It doesn’t quite work that way. If a game suddenly goes belly up tomorrow, you don’t get a refund for all the years you played.

This is a Facebook change, NOT the gaming industry. Developers all over are trying to work this out.

I don't know why Facebook doesn't officially allow gaming accounts. So many players use specific FB accounts for their games. Some use a different account for each new game, others have one account just for games because they don't want to get their real account associated with online gaming. It would remove the risk of losing your account when it gets reported or investigate for some reason and then turns out to be fake and everybody on FB would know that they are communicating with a gaming account when they interact with them - problem solved!!!

No. But if an account is owned by an underage player, then that player can't enter into binding contracts (at least in the EU) and all purchases can be nullified.

@Frunobulax Accounts owned by underage children are null and void since they were deceptively created so no contract exists.

Once again, it was Facebook that upped the age requirements. However, Social Point has always recommended age 14 and up.

Well this explains something but I also am hoping for some answers. My son has his own account that he was using on a Amazon tablet. I purchased him a new iPad over the weekend and we were hoping to transfer his ML account over. When I went on his Amazon tablet he does not even have the Connect to Facebook option available.

I had actually spent a fairly good amount of money to help him grow but now he is having to start over on the iPad. Does anyone know if there will be any type of way to fix this?

@DeathScorpion SP is looking for another way to save progress however this doesnt solve your problem now. Is there a way he can play dc on the old one until?

Yes, that's exactly what we are doing. He started a new account and kept the original one on the old tablet.

@DeathScorpion well we ask they make haste with it then but at the moment its vacation time in Spain so we have to be a little patient

@DeathScorpion I would not have him start his game over. Send a support ticket. I know they are trying to find a work around. If he restarts his game, he may over write data they need.

@DeathScorpion if his old game isn't connected to FB, you can ask SP to do it manually. All they need is the Game ID and the email address the FB account is registered with. Go through in-game support of his existing game and explain the situation. Once the game is connected to a FB account, you can connect to it from any device from any platform.

If you have entered an age below 18 years in-game, clear data in settings, uninstall it, format cache partition in recovery mode, reinstall and enter new age when asked. Obviously don't do that if the game hasn't been connected to FB yet!!!

@Marjan-Raijmakers there is no solution for now as explained its not a ML requirement but a fb one, fb decided to do this because of new legislation because of minors and privacy. SP wants another option to save progress but this is not something that can be changed overnight. So after vacation season is ended SP will hopefully find a solution quick. There are workarounds but because of obvious reasons we cant advise on them

@David-ML can you explain to me step by step what to do if an user entered an age that does not allow him to have the fb button on his game? He's using Android. Thanks

@ladyjade You basically need to delete and reinstall the game. The problem is that often not all game data is deleted in the process of uninstalling and when you reinstall, all your settings and your game are still there. To make sure that this doesn't happen, you need to first clear cache and then all data before uninstalling (in settings/apps). Then you turn off your device and reboot it into recovery mode. If you do not know how to get there, google this for your device. It's usually pressing power + Vol up or down simultaneously. In there, you select format or delete cache partition. Then reboot and reinstall game. Your device should have 'forgotten' everything at that point and you can enter a new age upon initial start of the game. Just be aware, if the game isn't saved against FB, you will lose EVERYTHING!!!

@David-ML thank you very much for taking your time to answer me . . . I was asking this because lots of players are having the same issue, but not everyone is underage . . . Some of them just don't have the fb option there . . . Totally missing so that I have no idea what could be the reason

have any of you seen whats being said in the chat room any parent would be horrified i can see why their doing this until they find a safe place for our kids ...

@sinfullcorey1 ....except that the age doesn't change access to in-game global chat which is often very vulgar and atrocious. Best to keep your kids out of there!!!
