Alright... the missions are getting to be a weensy bit ridiculous. This is my board:
A bit too much, and really just beyond unacceptable.
Look: even with the ability to refresh/skip (haven’t updated my game yet obviously) — it does NOT mean the missions need to inundate our games to this degree. I understand that how the missions appear is dependent on how other missions are completed but it nonetheless shows the weighted nature of the breed/hatch missions in relation to other missions requesting other things.
It is too skewed this way, and it needs to be again rethought out or if the frequency is to remain in order to prevent “too frequent progress” then perhaps lower the amounts needed per mission to ONE, SP.
As it is, with the little tweaks you’ve made, SP, which is definitely appreciated, you are STILL almost making it quite difficult to players to progress.
One thing I will mention here also that needs to be addressed is that some players have a good ability to work through these types of events whereas others (and I’d argue the majority) just don’t have a knack for these types of matching events. As opposed to other events we have like heroic races, maze quests, towers... where progressing involves a little strategy but moreso progress can be made by just engaging and playing the game...
... with this event, even awarding 20 moves for a mission might not yield anything for thousands upon thousands of players. The timers on the dragons is also a bit much — a bit of a rig shall we say — skewing the event against the player even more — because many players may not even reach far enough into the queue to hit the dragon with any time left, so it just disappears? Not cool. And if not much time is left on a timer, to then need to use gems to keep it available, is just, well, a tad bit excessive.
The mechanics are STILL unbalanced; perhaps some tweaking to the ratio of moves in relation to pieces of fruit needed is in order...
I’ve been progressing slowly and will finish this board — it won’t be until at LEAST the end of today! — but this board now is just totally unacceptable. Totally. Waiting an entire day, so 10% of the entire event, for 50-odd pieces is really a bit comical.
Now, I greatly appreciate the move quest that popped up, but there involves the conundrum of how to work through it — disregarding missions and complete each step as it appears to maximize moves awarded or wait and complete in conjunction with missions... One must take into consideration timers and such and it seems like it might be a bit of a neutralizer in the end, one sacrificing the other.
Do note I am only a level 55 but I’ve upgraded my hatchery to 4 spots, so the breeds/hatches are doable, albeit slowly. However, for lower players then me and/or those who have not upgraded their hatchery, this board could very well indeed cause them to STOP playing the event. It serves no one to cause players to feel defeated.
Is that what you want, SP?
It’s not what I want... this is a really great idea for a new event in the game and with the right amount of balancing I sure hope to see it again.
