    If you haven't been randomly selected for the gem roulette yet, I'll explain why it's extremely unfair and will make you lose a ton of resources.

    For those who don't know, the gem roulette is being tested by Socialpoint and players are randomly selected to test it for them. It completely replaces Monsterwood, so you will not get the normal Monsterwood rewards that everyone else gets, which is extremely unfair. It even removes other parts of the game, which I will explain below. There is no way to opt-out and support will not do anything about it either.

    What you get with the gem roulette:

    • Every day when the daily goals change over you get to spin the roulette by watching an ad. You only get two per day, one right away and one a half hour later.
    • For each of these spins, you get up to two extra chances to watch another ad and respin if you don't like what it lands on.
    • You almost always get only 4 gems per spin since it has a 91.49% chance.
    • What got people excited about the gem roulette when it was announced was the chance to get 1000 gems. But this will not actually happen because it only has a 0.01% chance.     What you lose because of the gem roulette:

    • All resources given out by Monsterwood including cells, relics, gems, etc.
    • Since receiving the gem roulette I've missed out on 240 cells that I could have used to rank monsters for battlegrounds and the library.
    • I also missed the round of relics that ended yesterday. Another 120 relics I could have used to rank my existing ones, or the chance to get a gold one.
    • The food that was given out over the weekend (this is the one resource I personally don't mind missing).
    • The worst one yet: Today, normal Monstwerwood is giving out gems. This means everyone in the game will be getting 40 gems per day, while players stuck with the roulette only get 8.
    • Ability to speed up farms growing food. This is one of the surprising changes, it apparently affects literally anything that has an ad. When the race started I went to speed up a farm to collect food for a food task, but had to use a gem because this is turned off.
    • Last week's speed-up event for hatching and breeding by watching ads. Just like the farms, it didn't allow me to participate in this event.

    I have been stuck with the roulette for over a week now, and now that I'm losing gems, the one resource it actually provides, I'm desperate to get it out of my game. It's not fair to force certain players to use this. I wouldn't mind if everyone tested it together, but what's happening is that some people are losing out on a lot of resources and even missing events in the game because of it. The lost resources alone aren't worth 8 gems a day, or even the extra you might get when you're lucky. Now it's even gems on top of all of that. Perhaps some people might prefer to watch fewer ads, but there should be a way to opt-out instead of unfairly forcing it on people who don't want to miss out.

    While the happy hour may have been a bug, it encouraged teams to work together and help each other out. Only being allowed to donate 5 cells every 24 hours is not very much and it feels like it takes away a major part of teams and teamwork. I think a good compromise would be to match the donation cooldown with the requesting one (resets every 8 hours).

    The addition of the Battlegrounds event has made it so people are already less willing to donate certain cells. Decreasing the amount people can donate has made this much worse.

    An Elvira counter in the light element is long overdue to stop light wars from being 90% Elviras. So it would be nice if he will able to AOE remove positive effects before a control or attack. Either in the same skill or with an extra turn.

    I have mixed feelings about more VIP breeding events.

    On one hand it might be a nice opportunity.

    On the other hand, it makes the money purchasing a VIP feel a bit wasted. But most of all, I'm not sure how much more disappointment I can take after 19 failed attempts at breeding Zyla yesterday.

    Either way, I appreciate this announcement ahead of time because it seems like a lot of people were confused about how this was all going to work.

    For the past 4+ months, the race monsters have all had either nature or metal elements, and now new leaks are suggesting the upcoming one will be yet another metal. First we had 3 natures in a row, which seemed kind of crazy, but now we are about to have a new record with 4 metal monsters in a row.

    Nature - Talika
    Nature - Prince Charmless
    Nature - Fatid
    Metal - Flamerion
    Metal - Baroness
    Metal - Patient Cyber
    Metal - New Halloween monster (according to leaks and seems confirmed by her appearance)

    Perhaps SP could change her element to thunder or magic. Racers have so much metal elemental and really don't need anymore metal monsters right now. Putting her in a different element will make her more viable. I realize this monser's element is not official yet, but even three in a row was a lot.

    Sometimes when you start an attack it will start taking a while to load and then give you an error. It may be because someone else started attacking that base, or for some other reason. But the problem is that it actually counts your monsters as used even though you never had a chance to use them. This is very, very bad especially in this version of the event where we can't restore cooldowns. I've prepared good monsters and then can't even use them in the event because of this. This is happening a lot and could prevent teams from getting enough points.

    So far there are a lot of complaints in this thread, but this forum was filled with people complaining about unfinished books that barely had any monsters. We can't have it both ways. Although some of these additions continue to be strange (how is Kiridar mechanical?), I don't think book additions are a bad thing at all. Especially because these additions are monsters that were released in 2017, and for some reason they had been mostly ignored since the books were added, until now.

    I've recently noticed that, when 5 cells are donated a lot of times, the receiver only receives 4. I believe the sender still loses the 5th cell, so it's just lost to the game. Has anyone else seen this happen?

    Yeah, it's related to the Baba event like @Haka-Taka mentioned. This event is kind of crazy... just the differences in difficulty between level 70s and level 80s is extreme (maybe 4-6 times harder just because of a few levels). I spent thousands of gems on getting Baba to 110 during her progressive island, so for people to be getting this many of her makes me feel like I wasted all of those gems! But I'm going to continue ranking her from here. Thanks for the answer.

    I don't like that you can't kick someone from the team. I understand there was an issue in the last race where an entire team got kicked, but I don't think turning off kicking is a solution.

    In one of the races we had a new member who was acting extremely rude towards other people and kept stealing points from teammates (someone else said they started working on it but ended up wasting resources, including gems). We will now be stuck with people even if they act horribly and cause trouble for everyone else on the team.

    Another big issue with this is that some people on teams freeload for the rewards, but don't actually do anything to help. This is why a lot of teams require a certain amount of points from each player, but now this won't be possible.

    I think this was done a few races ago and it still has the same issues. In the example I mentioned above, the game didn't allow us to kick this person because they were in the top 3 even though he was warned multiple times and was causing multiple long-term members want to leave the team until he was gone. We ended up telling a couple people at the top to go hardcore and pass him in points so we could finally remove him. (And this was fine because 1) the reason he had the most points was that we were trying to let other people get the max of 5k, which he ignored 2) he was acting out of line and ruining the game for everyone else, 3) he was warned multiple times about his behavior and that we would be forced to kick if he didn't stop, and 4) it was before the halfway point so he ended up joining a different team after we removed him anyway)

    I somehow missed this thread until @Haka-Taka mentioned it in the General Discussion relic thread.

    There is a bug with relics that are triggered at the start of the turn. When applying a temporary effect to itself, the relic counts the turn, which makes it useless for most of these relics that only last 1 turn. Two good examples of this happening are Vitality Banner (gold), and Amulet of Haste (silver).

    The turn starts and the relic is triggered. The life or speed is increased, but then decreased back to normal as soon as the turn ends. This makes the effect pointless because speed and life are only useful after the turn. On the other hand, this is okay when it happens with Baltasar's Mask because it increases strength during the turn, which is actually useful.

    Here is an example of it happening with Amulet of Haste. The first image shows the turn order after the relics are triggered. Thanks to the speed relics, Al Canine gets to take a second turn before the enemy monsters. The second image shows the turn order after Al Canine takes his first turn. He loses his added turn before the enemy monsters (at least one of them).

    This actually caused me to lose the attack.

    This bug could also affect the Revitalizing Shield fix that @Carlos mentioned above because the description says it starts at the beginning of the turn and lasts for 1 turn. (By the way, in my opinion, Revitalizing Shield would be more useful if it stayed the same, but its description was changed to match it.)

    Maybe that makes sense for people trying to compete book pages, but it doesn't make sense for war fighters. Putting all paid monsters in a single book makes wars with those books impossible for players who don't use money. We also need them distributed in the normal books or there is no point to buying them in the first place.

    I guess it matters whether you are more of a collector or war fighter. To me, wars are far more important than collecting and that's why the books were added to the game anyway. It's also not a big deal to not be able to finish every single monster on a page. It's a bigger deal to pay for monsters that you can't use or to have no good options in a war because of an incomplete book.

    I hope the "max level 100" idea isn't being considered. I could see a lot of people quitting if that happened. Players have put a lot of work into ranking monsters and I don't see the issue here. Weaker players and teams may not have ranked monsters yet, but that's why they should be matched with other teams of similar skill. It sounds like someone may have been frustrated with getting matched with a higher level team and suggested this, but that sounds more like a match making issue than a monster ranking issue.

    The Talos dungeons are designed to be very difficult (especially the last one), so that's probably why you're noticing it in them. However, the main thing I don't like about relics is how much time they add to the battle. Each of their effects and all normal status effects show one at a time per turn. It can really make a battle slow down a lot, and not in a good way because you just have to sit there and wait for text to stop flashing across the screen.

    Being able to use both elemental cells and elementium at the same time is definitely needed. I can live with the 80 limit, but at least allow us to use elementium in place of it. Or if we don't have enough elemental cells, allow us to fill the rest with elementium. Otherwise you need a lot of elemental cells to use them unless you already have a ton of normal cells. At this point elemental cells are essentially pointless except for topping off a large amount of normal cells.

    I had some craziness happen with the speed changing relics. I'm using a combination of Delayer Trap (-360 on enemies) and Amulet of Haste (+435 to self). This happened in a nemesis dungeon. It was triggered when my turn started and the turn order changed seemingly correctly at first (although I didn't calculate the exact speeds). The monster's turn was bumped up a few spots so it would be able to take two turns in a row. So I took my first turn, but then the monster's second turn went back to the position it was in before the relics took effect.

    My guess about what happened is that it has something to do with when the effects expire. Like how the max life increase of Revitalizing Shield Vitality Banner will trigger when your turn starts, but then expire when it ends, making it basically pointless. So I think this is a problem with temporary effects that start when the turn starts and only last for one turn and/or when the speed ordering takes place.

    edit: I originally said Revitalizing Shield does this, but I think it's actually the Vitality Banner. Revitalizing Shield actually seems to fire when the monster is hit, despite its description.

    This is happening because Amulet of Haste is apparently useless: the effect triggers at the start of the turn, but then goes away at the end of the turn. This appears to be the case for any 1-turn relic that triggers at the start of the turn, like the Vitality Banner. Since they count the turn it triggers on as the one turn, they don't actually do anything by the time the turn is over.

    Edit: I should add that for some relics, like Baltasar's Mask, this is fine because the desired effect (increased strength) is actually beneficial during the turn. But temporary speed and life don't help during the turn.

    I just had a charging banner activate despite both of the living monsters having 100% stamina. My only guess is that I had one dead monster that possibly had 0 stamina. It was dead though, so it shouldn't trigger any relics.

    The qualification amount (113k in mine) is too high. Many of these restrictions are repeated and it's difficult to fill the territories in the back. Especially the last one with a rank 5 exclusive. I think many teams are going to have difficulties with this tomorrow and the entire event will feel like it was for nothing. Hopefully it can be lowered before the end because this number doesn't seem right.

Double life or even only 50% more life by itself is a very, very strong advantage. If you choose this, then make the area cast something less strong than immune against all control effects.     I really like this idea. Immune to Torture works very well with an increased life buff. Also, the thing Gortak still has going for him is his Control countering ability. Giving Zahra Torture immunity rather than Control immunity leaves Gortak's purpose intact, while strengthening Zahra's 'thing'.

    Hm, maybe someone was reading this.

    Now it's official. I'm indifferent on the change, but I think it may as well be a permanent trait now and not a 3 turn status cast now that it isn't as good.

    This has not been around for a while. If your team had a multiple of 5, no one would be left out.

    I noticed yesterday that a few times, right before I would win the duel, it would say "desynchronized" so the win wouldn't count. It happened just like that so many times, right at the end before I won, that it seemed like the other person could be triggering the desync to cheat somehow.

    Then something happened today that makes this even more obvious. It happened at the end of a match when I was clearly going to win again, but something new happened this time: I got paired with the same person in the next match. And sure enough "Desynchronized" comes up right when I'm about to beat them, just like before. So I'm pretty sure this person triggered it after they saw I would win in both matches. This was a grand duel and I was near the end of my attacks, so it really messed me up to lose the win.

    I imagine if these people do it over and over and only allow their wins to go through, they can easily use this to win full series of duels by cheating and thus getting tons of elemental. After happening this many times and having it happen with the same person twice in a row, it seems highly unlikely that it's a coincidence. I'm sure some desyncs are real, but I'm getting the feeling that some people figured out how to cause them.
