    @tintum You're right, i neglected in my post the one thing messing up the game at higher levels, ranking ... Honestly that's undefensible in its current state, just shameless money squeezing, coupled with the bad match making, i can see how it can lead to some nasty experiences.
    For myself i only meet some 110s at most which, as long as they're not the denier, i can still manage even with a 20lvl gap, but i can't say much about the difference in higher leagues.
    I would just like to make it clear that i never said the game was perfect the way it was, there are plenty of flaws, some of the most glaring you pointed out, i just wanted to address some of the sillier complaints.

    And to think we were afraid they'd replace the rune reward.

    Gem value of the new rewards may or may not be higher, hard to say with relics, but that's irrelevant, gems will always be preferable as they allow us to choose the reward we want to spend them on.

    They should know this by now, so the goal is clear, but i doubt the gain for SP will be worth the backlash and increased number of quitters.

    This event must be a nightmare for pc only players, i've been forced to play on mine for the last two days and can't believe the struggle, what with the annoying pop up at every breeding, farms that need to be started one by one, the limit on rebreeding... It all quickly gets on your nerves when you have to repeat this every 30-60s

    @Wololo They're just telling you there's a better way to pass your point accross, your message sounded rather condescending, we all can do math here, you could have just as easily stated your point and asked for an explanation. The staff are not the enemy, so we should all show some respect (i'd call it basic human decency) and frame our posts nicely.

    @Kaiju if i remember right, cooldowns for this are 8 hours, unlike mazes you don't have to do long breedings, any fast one will do after a few tries.

    @Nynaevelan I understand everyone's points and agree with most, what annoyes me is their inability to accept that the game has changed, instead of suggesting changes that actually have a chance of being implemented everyone insists on repeating how amazing the game used to be for free players and that it needs to go back to the way it was ... It won't, if you want to know why, look a the islands of some of the top players after a breeding event and the 17 replicas waiting to be fed for extraction.
    Is it frustrating ? Sure, but what's the point wasting energy fruitlessly complaining about it, if SP notices a drop in revenue from this event, they'll revise it, till then keep your spending under control and focus on the things you actually enjoy, when that list becomes too short for your liking, you'll know it's time to move on.

    Not much was done to make them fair either, we have a team rushing ahead made of only 15 high lvl players, they're not even trying to hide it anymore. Won't be bothering with this one, we'll see if we can make top 6 with no spending.

    Why do so many people insist on complaining about events being impossible to finish (100%) without spending money, when there's a lot more legitimate issues to discuss ? In every single event, f2p players have access to enough ressources to get any monster they wish (take current Kihaku as an example), what more do you want ? access to the full content by just logging 30 seconds every 4 hours ?

    Even pvp, most people i see complaining are people who are already in leagues they don't belong in and find it odd that they can't go higher. From my own experience (Gold III/II, lvl ~50) i'm enjoying stretching myself to get wins far more than spamming refresh until i get an easy win, and i'm still doing really well.
    If you want to enjoy the fights, then drop to the league you should be in, if you want the free rewards stay put where you are, but stop whining about it.

    I can't speak of the end game as i'm not there and i'm not aiming for it as much as just enjoying the ride there, no mather how long it takes, that's what mobile games are for to me, if i want a feeling of accomplishment before moving on, i'd turn on my PC.

    On this point though, if there weren't so many additions to the game, what would 130 players even stay for ? the joy of collecting monsters they don't need ? Even wars at that lvl must be a bore when the AI can easily be slaughtered (as is apparent from the scores i see in their wars).

    Anyway, what i'm trying to get to, is that while i'm a newish player, so can't say what the game was like, i don't get the logic of people wanting to leave because of the recent changes.

    @Wololo So, if i understand you, you wish for it to be possible to unlock every single monster in events for free with money being only a recourse if you wish to save time/effort ? Can you name a single F2P game of this scale offering such ? It's hard to speculate on the cost of following your suggestion for SP since we don't know the amount of players who actually buy coins and how much, but i doubt it's small enough to let pass. I think they are already being fair by allowing the players to pick any one monster (more if not the last) they wish in mazes and get it. As for progressive islands, the fact that gems are usable and the ease with which they can be hoarded makes this issue moot i suppose.

    I'm not the one deciding in which league a player belongs, it's the player base itself, the ranking will set itself from the top down, people who can't reach Top 500 will be in Legendary IV, people who can't compete with those will find themselves in Gold I and so on. The fact that match making is so bad right now is due to the players cheating the system for so long thanks to the refreshing.

    The match making could become much better if most players continued to play until they reached a stable position, but since each player is attached to his unearned rank and its rewards and so stops playing, the system will never fix itself.

    On monster ranking, as you can see in my previous post, i completely agree with you, it needs reworking/simplification.

    @Clackers I don't think mazes and progressive islands are meant as active events to be enjoyed, just a bonus players get while completing their usual gaming check lists, the only real event (or close enough anyway) i've seen in this game are races who also unfortunately come with a few problems but that's another story. But i agree that they should explore more ideas for events than the copy/past/change monsters we have currently.

    @Wololo hmm i'll try to tackle this from another angle, when it comes to mazes, i believe NOT being able to do the whole thing is in part what justifies its existance, forcing the player to make compromises and smartly choose his targets, would you truly be happier if the maze offered fewer monsters but you were able to get them all ? why ? i'm truly curious now, so i would appreciate an answer. Because the way i see it, the additional monsters i decide not to go for are no different from a special sale targeting p2p players.

    For your point about other successful f2p games, most i know either require tremendous amounts of time to unlock the purshasable content for free or focus on customization to earn money, which wouldn't realy work for SP games.

    I'm also well aware of the nasty spending circle some players can get themselves entangled in, it's not something i'd praise a game for encouraging, but in such cases i'd fault the players not the companies, which are at least known to be hungry entities. Though as a 100% f2p player ( my lvl doesn't really require spending ), i'm in no position to judge.

    As for the gem hoarding, you raise the bar a little too much here, you want to both unlock all monsters AND be able to fully rune them with ease ? No, if the game is to survive such things must take time, SP may be adding new monsters every other week, but it's up to us to decide when to spend our ressources.

    Your post also touches the monster ranking issue but i in no way defend it, so i'll stop here.

    @TCML-Lead I don't know how i could respond to that, since as you say i didn't experience the earlier version of the game to be able to compare, that's why i'm trying to keep my arguments to the issues i believe i understand, and hopefully can make you guys see in a (slightly) better light.

    All in all, I notice that the core issue we keep circling back to is the monster ranking, it's the one issue that impacts negatively almost every other aspect of the game, so let's just hope SP is aware of the fact and is working on a solution before the discontent hits them where it hurts.

    @Gallofus That's just sad to see, they put in place a system without taking in consideration the current mess that pvp ranking is, so now the amount of points you get or lose depend only on your league and your opponent's league, monster ranks and levels don't seem to get into it, so as we can see, when there are 130s in gold and 110s in silver you can imagine the mess ... At this point they should realise that the ranking won't fix itself fast enough to appease their players and come up with better match-making and scoring mechanisms. There's so much possibilities they could choose from it's mind-numbing to see that we have to suffer through this, the fact that they don't come out and explain their reasoning shows i guess that they themselves don't have much faith in it and know we would just rip it appart ...

    @ericj Same thing can happen with revenges too, it's unlikely but not impossible. So i suppose what the shield does is remove you from further match making for three hours, but obviously doesn't remove you from established lists or protect you from revenge attacks. It would be hard for them to work around this without rethinking the whole system. I truly don't think this is new, it probably just never happened to the poster.

    I also don't get some people's complaint about being attacked even when they're not playing. What's wrong with that exactly ? how is it supposed to be, we only get attacked in the couple minutes window in wich we are playing the game ? i don't know how it used to work but this seems mad to me.

    @Fox Hello, i'll follow with a few issues i'm interested in :

    1- Match-making : With the current rankings, trophy based match-making is lacking (many high lvl players in lower leagues), especially with the removal of the refresh option, is there a plan to fix this issue or will SP wait and see how it develops even if it is causig huge discontent ?
    2- Scoring : The major fault i see is the huge loss incured when losing a defense against a higher ranked opponent, should it not be lower than the reward of a successful attack ?
    3- Shield : Am i correct in assuming that it doesn't protect us from revenges and being attacked by players in whose target lists we already are ?

    We know too little to judge honestly, what can the prizes be other than monsters ? high level runes, the soon to be released relics ? There are plenty of ways for them to make the chests interesting. These are also the default prices, i don't think there's many people out there buying monsters at 2k gems either.

    There's more, from what i noticed, even when the pools are full, the timer will go on until the respawn time, so even if you are late to collect, as long as the timer for the next point isn't over you can still empty the pool and get the additional point a few minutes/hours later.
    This happened to me multiple times, and is quite useful with breeding and hatching when you miss the exact time.

    Can't complain, i got beginner's luck i guess, got a Psilotus and a bunch of epics i didn't have in 2 days, since i waited for my Flamerion to hatch. Knowing that i only have a 2* temple, it's a rather good result.
    The only gems i spent were to buy the legendary i wanted (only to find his cells in the next event ...).

    You guys complain without knowing what the probabilities are, there are people (me included) who struggle to get the usual breedable legendaries, and here you are whining because you can't get rare monsters for free ... (no one forces you to pay, if you gamble and lose, it's no one's fault but yours).

    @Marianne-van-Es It'll be up to them to find the right balance for the requirement, if it's too high players will look for an easy win elsewhere and nothing will have changed, if it's too low they'll end up losing money, don't think they'll risk it, it would take a few misses before they find the right number.

    I played a race on DC before i quit, it's not hard to get 15 laps as long as you're organized and prepared to wake up in the night for a few minutes or willing to spend a few gems. That thing is only profitable because players are lazy and tend to spend a lot.

    That wouldn't work here as it's a team effort and a few players can carry the slack of others, so any restriction they put will have to be unreachable for free, and i don't want to imagine the cost they'd settle for.

    Add as many zeros as you want, all you'll do is make DoT a must. Make these obsolete and life runes will rule the game, and if by some miracle you find the right balance you're just making games longer not more challenging, you'll see a stamina and life regen monster in every team, add debuffs and heals and we're stuck with boring battles that last five years.
    Like was said above, the Relics you've been spitting on were the answer to your wish.

    @Boro-Wing Having to watch 40 ads a day for 15 days isn't "for free".

    As for the disappearing gem rewards, once the scrolls are out the only issue will be pvp rewards, the fact we still got no comment on that is scary, we'll see with today's new season if they implemented any readjustment.

    For the rest, like @Marianne-van-Es said, there are plenty of existing problems to criticize,but if you need to just be negative at least keep it until the feature is actually out.
