I can't speak for SP, but I don't see any reason to. As has been already mentioned before, Warmasters are, technically, ftp, and Diamond relics can also be crafted now... None of them are too easily available, but then, neither are Nemeses even in the current arrangement... So imo there is no need to rework the dungeons...

@fox Since it seems that the TL book will be there for sometime after all the monsters have been released, would you guys consider making the monsters which we are/were supposed to get from breeding only (v.i.z Eeltron, Shademoon and Itzanami) available in some other, more feasibly achievable form? After all, I feel its very disheartening to the dedicated players if the only chance they had to complete book chapters was through PURE CHANCE, which is, well, hardly rewarding most of the time. Right now, the game doesn't offer a single event which can give satisfactory rewards for the effort required, and if things remain the way they are currently, TL books will just fall back into casual gameplay/long list of to-be-ignored-due-to-impossibility-of-completing-without-spending-tons. I have already explained previously how this event can be made a lot more appealing to the general playerbase, and I hope the feedback was duly noted and passed on...
P.S. I have been noticing 370 cells for Eeltron, Treetopog, Itzanami and Belbreath coming up far more frequently than before in the Treasure Cave room 60 rewards (atleast in my game)... I hope that's only an innocent co-incidence 😉

@marianne-van-es I had to give away pretty valuable cells in exchange though 😉. And yes, however you might feel (and I do absolutely agree with what you pointed out), for all practical purposes, the event WAS "ftp" because SP made a provision to get those cells without paying, so it WAS POSSIBLE to get them without spending being the only option, and I'm grateful for that. We who like to play competitively without spending too much have to make compromises, and teams exist to lessen the burden on individual players (as I personally feel). If anything, the Polar TL book was absolutely no way ftp, but I'm glad that its format is not being repeated anymore

@testcyp well, in all fairness, Jasastur's Mask is a pretty good relic, but seeing as Nishant's Sword is included in the chest, I'd daresay that one will be the most common one that people will be getting 😂😂

@marianne-van-es Apologies for the delay in reply, but SP made it possible to request his cells while the book was active, which was the first to happen for quest monsters, (and I'm glad that it hasn't changed thus far) and so it wasn't absolutely neccessary to buy the chest and get the remaining 50 cells... All I had to do was talk to my team and set up good trades, so I'll consider it "ftp" for all practical purposes 😉
Also, I might mention that I was luckier than usual with that particular breeding event, and I strongly recommend that the devs consider upping the % chance of getting the desired monster during these breeding events: makes the game much more fun to hang around in

@marianne-van-es The only TL book Ch-5 I completed TOTALLY ftp was the Cain one (Halloween). The next one was impossible, the third one was doable, but I was gem-poor at that time, so I settled for Ch-4. This one could have been done ftp too, if not for the heavy dependance on breeding events, which again I think will be somewhat counterproductive for both SP and the playerbase ofc, given the timing and the randomness... small time spenders looking for juicy rewards might be reluctant to keep spending on something not guranteed, while ftps likely have no chance at all unless they have heaps of gems saved from past months....
@Nynaevelan I totally happen to agree with what was said regarding the new format of mazes... I own a r2 Frosilka and a Helgudin r2 (who can be taken to r3 with the spare cells and 100 elementium I have) totally ftp and whatever coins I got lucky enough to get from wheels, since I never spend on respins (I feel that I'm too unlucky for even that, lol), sooo, maybe better luck next time? 😉
@fox Maybe you guys should try and decide which part of your playerbase you want to get to fully enjoy the TL books? I doubt it affects big spenders either way, who might not want to expand their roster given the new changes to Battlegrounds and neither ftps nor small time spenders are happy about the current format too, I suppose. As it has been pointed out previously: give people a chance to spend sensibly and where spending will definitely get them somewhere, and you'll get a VERY HAPPY Community and the chance for the game to keep growing, with hope for people who don't have 130 Premium monsters and Mutant and Supermutant runes 🤗

@teh_alan As @callumarachnoid pointed out, and as I stated myself, very few monsters have double trap slots (and I'd like to add Legendaries like Hackster, Frostwrath and Chill Bill and Rares like La Croc to the ones already mentioned), so a team consisting of these monsters should warn any veteran player of what they might be up against, just as they know what to expect and prepare for when facing Thalassa or Elvira 😉. In all honesty, any team having these monsters and NOT carrying 6x Pestilence traps would be a genuine surprise.

@teh_alan While I sympathise with you, and personally I used to find this a major annoyance when relics first came out and a lucky few got enough to implement this, I don't really see a reason to complain: if that were so, it should apply to other aspects too, for instance Thalassa's special, or using slow teams to exploit Elvira's status caster... The only solution that I can suggest is learning which monsters can hold double trap relics and avoiding a team with 3 of them

I still like playing the game almost as much as I did when I started playing, mainly because of the cool new monsters and battle mechanics, new possibilities of strategies, and of course, rewarding special events like Nemesis Survival dungeons. True, there are lots of places for improvement in a number of aspects, but its also undeniable that SP has made some pretty generous moves in the past few months too, secondary to player feedback (free skill change, chests from the Special Progressives). I suppose I will stick to the game as long as I can maintain a competitive gameplay to my satisfaction, and I really look forward to seeing other rewarding events like Master of Paths and the Relic version of 72 H Challenge return soon and often. Might I also add that making some new monsters from mazes and progressives available at a respectable rank through pure effort seems to me like a good idea to nurture more interest? After all, people do get bored of playing with the same guys over and over again 😉

@fox We've all stated time and again, here on the forum, and on Discord, that with the sudden disappearance of biweekly Survival dungeons, there is a monthly decrease of 24 gems AND 20 elementium, and the opportunity to get cells for newer and more useful Epics !!! I don't know how this can be so hard to grasp: the Survival dungeons used to occur alongside the other dungeons, so its gems and elementium rewards SHOULD have been taken into account during the rebalancing too !!!
Regarding the Caves issue, I don't know what tweaking is being done, but the trap rates or the revival costs need to be revised for the lesser, otherwise its nigh on unplayable except just entering it for the Daily Goals, which is not something you guys wanted, I'm sure

@bwang487 what Cryotan did is part of what every possessed monster does: if an extra turn move is available, it prefers to pick it and get rid of the possession. However, I do agree with the fact that possessed monsters controlled by the A.i mostly often recharge, but then, that serves the purpose of denial too, no? 😉
Now, when the player's team is possessed, my personal observation has been that the response varies between recharge or attack, depending on the monster in question and possibly, its runes. For example, once possessed, my Faraday takes absolute delight in killing my own team, my Thalassa tries to freeze her own team- which of course fails, (mine or the enemy's) Samael most inconveniently resurrects a dead enemy/removes debuffs/heals/recharges, and my Fatid (along with some other Tough/ Hardened monsters, like WM Elvira) prefers to recharge or simply perform extra turn skills until the possession comes off. So you see, the responses are way too variable to come to a common conclusion.

@karbie-sweet each Survival dungeon gave out 12 gems and 10 elementium in total, so that's 24 gems and 20 elementium less per month than before... While I was okay with the change as I thought things get balanced out by the Caves, now the situation is different. We can definitely not establish in a believable way whether rates of trap triggering have gone up or not...whatever we feel like, we'll always be fed with a "you're just unlucky" comment, but I think we do deserve an explanation about why the rewards were suddenly (and SILENTLY) reduced, without an equivalent reduction in retry costs...

The most crucial point would be to have Samael get the turn right after the hitter, so that you can turn transfer to your hitter once his Total Blind has worn off, if you didn't choose to take a denier and simply went ahead with a team speed carrier Llum. However, a more preferable approach would be to take a Llum which goes right before the hitter, so you can use Battlefield Speech and deal with Talos before he starts killing your team. And make sure to take plenty of Armour and Healing relics too !!!

I happen to quite agree with most of the OP. I understand perfectly if a player chooses not to put in too much effort to get 25-50 gems in 2 weeks, that's a personal choice, but for those who DO WANT TO, the Premium Pass is quite a slap in the face, and almost forcing expenditure for maintaining competitive play in the Timed Challenges. Besides, 25-50 gems is not a very trivial amount, considering competitive play in wars and PvP requires rune slot unlocking, rune moving etc.

Well, I learnt my lesson for getting my hopes up from SP's assurance that "the team" was aware of the situation regarding Nemesis Cells Dungeons and was working on a new event for a solution...
As @Fox so rightfully pointed out- SP's done some fairly good things recently, and I'm adding the recent 72h to the list, but this pales in comparison to what more could be done. If anything, expenses are OBSCENELY high in every aspect of the game right now- relics, rune slots, viable monsters for competitive gameplay, abundant trash chests- And what's worse, most everything worthwhile is now being offered for real money instead of gems, and the only reasonable place to spend gems right now seems to be buying Heroic Orbs during discount.
Honestly, if you want to cast out low spenders and free-to-plays, just make the app paid to download, instead of trying to raise mountainous walls in the path of progress...

Bit off topic, but personally, I'd love to use rank 5 Team Shop monsters, IF they were available at a reasonable price... The way they are now, getting one to rank 5 will take so much time that they'll be absolutely outclassed by the new generation of monsters with better stats and battle mechanics, as the evolution of the game obviously demands. But I do agree with @David-ML - going into battle without the fear of being severly crippled or wiped out first turn is a welcome change. As for what @C0ntr1v3d said, weaker teams might lose some advantage in defending, but then, they might not have had the capacity to decide battles in the first place, and if they did so by virtue of multiple specials, I doubt the attacking player with a superior team and guranteed victory would feel very happy about it...

@ekto-gamat I developed the same attitude towards events as you a few months back, then all the new generation monsters started to look quite interesting, and now, it feels quite agonizing to watch the good stuff either out of reach, or obscenely expensive. People should not be MADE to pay to get something which will make surviving in a competitive gameplay feasible, sometimes its good to have things handed a bit easily- its good for the morale 😉. And not everybody is a long term experienced player like you with an impressive collection 😅
@Marianne-van-Es don't remind me of the Cyber race... It was a disaster !!! I don't remember them changing Shork when the player base clamoured to have him improved, (I still remember their replies regarding the issue) and I consider the betterment of a race monster after more than halfway through nothing short of a real low move. So you see, ignoring/ playing a race can be both quite punishing. What stand are we to take then?

    JohnML

@marianne-van-es valid arguments indeed, I agree totally !!! However, if we start ignoring whatever event we don't like, I'm afraid soon we'll be reduced to playing only dungeons when we feel like it, maybe occassionally PvP to break the boredom. Generating revenue is fine, and they deserve a fair bit, given the few interesting monsters that have come up recently, but trying to force it to come up from near about every aspect in-game is a tad too extreme imo, but then, its an individual thought, and entitled to disagreement 🙂.
On another thought, your point on ignoring these events, if followed by a sufficiently large amount of the playerbase, might be the best way to bring senses into those who are in charge of marketing and generating revenue, but I'm concerned that it'll take several weeks, if not months to make them realise their error. What'll players do in the meantime? Log in to do dungeons, maybe breed a few monsters missing from collection? Take a break ?(hopefully temporary)
