    I made it level 35 last night, assessed how many coins we still have coming, and threw in the towel... I'll just focus on the race.

    It works when you're choosing dragons for a battle or in the Training facility (I think, mine's busy at the moment so I can't check), but not in the Dragonbook. And it's worked for me for almost as long as the search has been there. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @bettina-lรถffler said in *** Heroic Race High Relentless July28 - Aug8***:

    About the waiting times. They are often including seconds and rounded up. Thats why the total often is less than the multiply of one item waiting time. For example if there is a waitng time for one item...1 min 30 sec...it will show 2 min. But for two it will show 3 min.

    Hmmm. Yes, that definitely explains some of them, but what's happening in cases like what I mentioned where the wait time is a whole number in minutes? I found a way for it to be 1 minute off if it's operating in fractions of an hour and then rounding, but not 3 or 4... (Yes, this really bugs me, I know it's dumb. ๐Ÿ™‚ )

    (I'm posting this during the High Relentless race so it's possible this has happened, but just in case...)

    Lap 15 is THE lap that players aim for in Heroic Races, trying to get that dragon... But at this point it's also the only lap that doesn't give you any kind of acknowledgement when you reach it. This always provokes a lot of posts to the forum (and probably contacts to SP support) wondering where their Heroic Dragon is or wanting reassurance that they'll receive it.

    I suggest addressing this by inserting a title card at the beginning of lap 15 that says something like, "Congratulations! You've reached lap 15! You'll receive your new Heroic Dragon once the race is over."

    It won't completely allay the confusion (since some people don't read), but I think it would help.

    Is there any chance that each Dragon Rescue could get its own thread going forward, the way other events do? This thread is getting kind of long, and it seems like there's enough tweaking between rescues that it won't necessarily be helpful for a new player to try to read through the whole thing as an introduction...

    The weekend is possibly the worst time for a race to start as far as I'm concerned, and since this one wasn't announced beforehand in the forum it caught me by surprise as well... I'm still doing OK, I guess; I'm on 6.5 and might be able to get to the end of 7 by the end of today, which I think still puts me on track for lap 16. Not the worst race layout, but not the best either -- I don't like pools and wait times in the first four laps.

    Thanks to all involved for the lap spreadsheets for every race -- those are SO helpful! Has anyone noticed, though, that the total wait times are often off in weird ways? For example, the food for 6.5 should have a wait time of 5 x 41 = 205 min = 3 hrs 25 min, not 3 hrs 22 min; and the feed in 6.4 should be 5 x 21 = 105 min = 1 hr 45 min, not 1 hr 41 min. It's usually not more than 5 minutes off so not a problem unless you're trying to be VERY punctual, but it's enough to trigger my OCD. ๐Ÿ™‚

    On another topic... I also appreciate that the race and other event-related threads have been moved under the Game Events topic, but is there a reason why they've been locked behind a login at the same time? I check the forum from a number of different devices, having to log in on all of them is kind of a nuisance...

    FWIW: My ban has been lifted, about 20 days early, and I've been told the underlying issue has been resolved so it shouldn't happen again. From bits and pieces of the interaction I believe that someone explicitly reviewed my account for signs of hacking and then manually unbanned me, so that would probably have to be done for anyone on a long-term ban.

    Given that... If you're on the initial 3-day ban it's probably easiest to put in one message to support (as the documentation trail) then grit your teeth and wait it out. If you've been bitten by the second, 32-day ban... Write support daily. Don't wait for a response, if they go 24 hours (excluding weekends) without getting back to you open another ticket. Be polite, ask for explicit information about why you were banned (including monster levels and what monsters they saw you use), patiently explain why what they're saying does not make sense, and ask for escalation every time, as many times as necessary. And give a negative rating every time they come back and close your ticket with a boilerplate reply.

    As Suzznee notes, the bolder hackers will probably contact support and deny wrongdoing, so I understand why their support defaults to an assumption of guilt... The trick is for enough of us to create enough tickets that it makes a blip on the support radar. And being polite to @Fox when she steps in probably helps too, even when she's not in a position to say much. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Putting a slightly different spin on this... Coins collected during an event could be event-specific, and go away after it ends. However, coins you pay cash for could be generic, and roll over if you don't use all of them. That might actually increase sales of the coin packs -- I know that I, for one, have only paid for event coins once, mostly because they don't roll over so I don't think it's worth it unless I REALLY want that last dragon. If they rolled over, though, my threshold for purchase would drop quite a bit.

    Just trying to refine the idea a bit...

    I think that the claim on mine was that I cheated on the attack, not the defense. I could be misremembering, though.
