They are obviously trying to help everyone get thru those epic breeding nodes easier with this event.

Now be a good boy and thank them for their kind gesture.

I am more in favor of earning it as an achievement.

For example after you own a certain number of Level X runes (amount to be determined by SP) you unlock the perk to unequip runes for free. This helps ensure their income from sales of Level X runes do not diminish, and may have the added benefit of providing an incentive for the average players to purchase more in order to earn the perk.

    @danilo-petrovic

The people who are not "for real" are the ones expecting SP to lose the chance to make money off runes.

Of course that was only a hypothetical example, the actual number will be whatever SP deems to suit their statistics, if my suggestion is actually considered.

What I really don't like about this one is the gambling aspect has now directly invaded into the strategic gameplay.

For example someone set this guy on defense, and I use Patient Cyber to deny its team. If I just so happen to get it to roll the Cooldown Activate Protection the entire attack plan is severely compromised. While my teammate can attack the same defense, and it rolls Double Maximum Stamina in that fight, turning the same fight into an easy win.

A better idea would be to allow players to unlock the perk of changing runes without cost after a reasonable number of Level X runes has been owned, like an achievement.

For example, having 3 monsters equipped with Level X runes (1 denier, 1 hitter, 1 support) in each element is a reasonable goal to set. With 9 elements, you will need 9x9 so 81 level X runes.

So the players with 81 Level X runes gets the perk to swap runes for free. That is a decent buy in to ensure SP still makes profit selling Level X runes (this comes out to 27945 gems if you buy at 345 per Level X). It will also give incentive to reach such a milestone to players who only has 50 or 60 Level X runes to go for more. Players get a nice sense of achievement and a well deserved reward for their spending.

A proposal with good balance for both parties.

I can understand if they make it temporarily untradeable during the breeding event and dungeon, like Mishka.

I just won't participate in the event if they make it untradeable long term like Cain and Soul Hugger, and at the same time make getting their cells as costly as getting a Warmaster.

Hoping for some info regarding this monster Makugan before deciding how much commitment to put into the event.

Thanks to @Marianne-van-Es who posted the stats and skills of the monster here:
    https://forums.socialpointgames.com/topic/10590/new-released-monsters

So it doesn't have Status Caster: Evasion?

And is it another exclusive kind monster like Soul Hugger where cells will be long term untradeable?

    MAKUGAN INFO PLEASE.

    For farts sake.

Yup, everything won't feel like a scam if SP just provide the necessary info for the players.

For example is this Makugan going to be another monster whose cells will become untradeable? If so, I think it would change a lot of player's mind whether or not to spend gems or money to get her cells from chests and survival dungeon.

I certainly would not if it means I have to buy very overpriced gambling chests to rank her further in the future (like the recent Cain chests).

@fox Well with all due respect, why not take your time to be technically ready, then release it ? Just saying. It's not like players are eagerly waiting for another borderline broken 72hr challenge.

The roulette is just a minor nuisance.

The really broken part is mainly going to be playing 3 days and not even have enough coins to get the 3 silver relics on the first board for most players.

Remember is starting at the season reset, where the first day you will be getting all those impossible targets (assuming you are in legendary IV).

For most players not in the top 500, after you win a few fights, you won't be able to win much anymore.

So there you go. Great Dispel strips Dodge Area as expected.

Thanks so much for testing this 🙂

I just hope they don't one day change it like 6 months from now and say "whoops sorry was a bug that it strips the dodge area". You never know what is intended and what is a bug these days with new releases.

Nerfing is not going to generate any income for them.

Now, making a new class of monsters (or Warmaster pets additions) to make these Warmasters obsolete.......that will generate big bucks and is the likely direction they will go.

You already saw how much some people pay for Soul Hugger, which is the anti-Necromancer monster. They will eventually make a best friend for Thalassa too, just have your money ready 😛

The dynasty of Nemesis has fallen, and in time so will the dynasty of Warmasters. And so on, and so on......

Is it just me or does Sherezar's exclusive relics looks really weak?

The trap is harder to trigger than Oblation Trap, and a stamina recharging relic, he won't really need since he can't survive Shademoon.

Compared to what Babari and Remntar got, is pretty sad. At least give him something to be a bit tankier so Shademoon can't one shot him.

I don't think Neobuki's taunt is working, as I am still freely able to attack her team mates while it is active.

Also the Thunder Warmaster's damage mirror is causing him to gain life back if he gets a fatal blow with a life stealing move (occurred when using Cain). Needless to say is a disaster as not only did he not die, he gained a lot of life back.

@marianne-van-es said in Will Soul Hugger cells be long term untradeable like Cain?:

@roger-c You sort of give the answer if he isnt worth to get him to you don't spend the gems/money if he is spend it

The question was why is there a need to restrict trade on him, and by doing so is forcing players to use elementium and elemental cells to rank him, placing him in same category as nemesis class in a sense.

Warmasters are extremely powerful, so are nemesis, so restriction on free trading on these makes sense.

    Soul Hugger, not so much.

I don't believe I answered my own question, as I am still pondering 🙂 Maybe you have some additional insight?

    @Fox

I don't know if you are free to give out this info, if not it is ok. From a player's point of view, this event don't quite make sense, and I would like to really know why these monsters are restricted so, and the event is designed to be so costly. Here is why:

Just running a crude estimate, to get Soul Hugger ranked thru this event, the cost is pretty much on par with a Warmaster's cost, while Soul Hugger's power is clearly not in that realm.

If you factor in also that there are no blessing rewards for getting enough cells to rank him, like Warmaster's do, his cost is probably higher than a Warmaster.

I have no problem with spending to get certain monsters, but the value has to be justifiable for the cost.

Can I get a clarification regarding the plans of Soul Hugger cells tradeable status? Last time spent a bit of resources on the island to get Cain cells, and only after the event found out he is not going on sale and will be not tradeable long term, basically impossible to rank.

Will Soul Hugger be in the same situation? If so, I probably won't even attempt this island.

If he can be tradeable after the Polar Book is over, then I will probably try to get as far as I can. Since I can try to trade with team mates and make better progress.

I think is fair for players to know so wasting of resources can be avoided.

My team mates and I were chatting the other day, reminiscing on some of the fun events we used to have. It just feels sad that some of the ones we enjoyed seems to be either completely forgotten or scrapped.

So I am hoping we can all post some of them, and maybe (yes I am being hopeful) the devs will hear our plea and bring some of them back sometime.

    I will go first:

    1. Titan invasion - I liked battling my way to bring it down with the team, and is good to have some variety from the traditional race format.

    2. Nemesis cell dungeon - yes I know they need to limit these and supposedly saved for a special occasion. With Christmas coming up, maybe consider it for one of the festivities?

    3. Sharing Happy Hour - it is fun and a good team activity to help each other grow our roster thru trades. They used to have this when we have Monster Cell Week, and we tend to buy more cells than usual when it is easier to trade between team mates. Not saying every Monster cell week should have one, but maybe once every 2 months? (not unreasonable right?)
