What kills me is we have to pay a monthly subscription for the chance to get perks. I still have to put a bunch of effort in to get the perks enabled for only a part of the month... really? I feel like the premium pass missed the mark with providing value for a subscription and now this too.

I would be more inclined to subscribe if the effort I put into this month carried forward to the next month at least in terms of perks. Maybe put tier statuses along the path so if I hit a level this month, the perks up to that tier level in the next month are automatically activated. So if I enable 10% hatching boost this month, I should start with that next month.

This is how almost every other loyalty and rewards programs work. I get rewarded during the current session for being loyal. I start with some sort of benefit based on my status level the next session to keep me from leaving. By resetting the perks, there is no immediate incentive to re-up the next month.

My favourite part of this new island is the sales pitch on the popup "The answer to the lack of space issue is here!" I'm not certain I would call additional space for 6 legendary habitats (24 monsters) a solution unless there is going to be a monster cull. This answer still does not allow for all current monsters to be stored in habitats, let alone the new ones constantly coming in.

The aspect of the game that I get the most enjoyment out of is live duels and I find that very telling. I enjoy live duels mostly because it's a even playing field. I can't field a team of lvl 130 monsters with full X runes and fully leveled diamond relics. Live duels flatten all that out so we get down to strategy and fun. The fact that I most enjoy the part of the game that does not involve the monsters I 'earned' and ranked and equipped and spent time on is not a good sign for me.

I really wish ML put more effort into making the premium pass a viable option. If I enjoy the game enough, I'm on board with paying a membership if I get something useful out of it. Double food and gold is weak. I've said in the past, I might pay for things like 1 extra slot in Dr. Victors (helps with races), the ability to cancel eggs for free, or reduced times for hatch, breed, build, etc. What the premium pass is now is equivalent to an amusement park that sells a special pass but instead of front of the line access, your drinks are twice as large.

An island for cash money is a disappointment.

@tom6969 said in 15 birthday tokens:

Are there many in the maze? Also has a picture been published yet with the maze revealed?

There is 1 ticket per path, 7 total. Each ticket seems to be 1 step past the last key in the path. Look at the maze post, there is a picture that shows the node for each key and the tickets

Queen Luthien for me. I don't have her already so I guess that's something?

@robopandax VPN may have something to do with it. I find if I initiate an offer at work it ALWAYS doesn't work. I assume it is because of some VPN or proxy or firewall or other quirk in the network setup there that confuses the system. When I start the offer from home it has always worked for me.

Like others say, I wait for the 2x offers and must have cleared close to 5k by now. Played some horrible games to get it though

My team: Marquis De Flambe, Koralle Brutalis, Metalisha
Enemy team: Neobuki, Koralle Brutalis, Sunblast

My Metalisha moves first, I used "Moth to Flame" on my Koralle. Instead of my Koralle gaining a turn, the enemy Koralle gets hit by the skill and gains an extra turn. My Marquis anticipation activates because the enemy gained an extra turn...

Did the enemy Koralle taunt trait incorrectly pull the skill directed at my team? Was it the ignition that comes with Moth to Flame that makes it an 'attack'?

@testcyp I agree, I got 160 cells on the Gorg progressive. Here, if I go 1 node past the 155 magic stones, I get... food? 😕

I get the marketing logic "oh shoot, I can't do anything with these extra 60 stones, I better GEM the next node!" pffft.

I found the original battleground setup a huge grind to populate multiple defenders. I lost interest in placing defence teams after about 2 and I'm not even a millennial! Limiting it to 5 defence teams made it tolerable.

I did like old BG ability to attack until I ran out of monsters. In some cases I could send in 1 to mop up after someone else. Now, whether I send 1 or 3, it counts the same. Opening the fighting to my entire roster gives me some incentive to invest in the lower ranks.

For me, the best of both worlds would be keep the attack side the same as old BG. Keep defence side the same as current BG. To balance the defence to attack, give the defence teams 'lives' kind of like team wars. Each defence team can be attacked (or defeated?) 3, 5? times before they are eliminated. Each battle results in points for the attacker or defenders.

For me, putting down 10-15 defence teams is a mind numbing chore.

@testcyp thanks, yes, not the pain point here. Mazes and progressives do have some synergy with breeding and hatching. A maze running at the same time as a progressive and a breeding event like, oh I don't know, Pierceids quest, that puts some stress on the breeders and hatchery.

I guess it all works fine if FOMO gets the better of me and I clear room with gems. 😉
