Cain was a side distraction to the race. It often happens, and choices have to be made, especially by the f2p players. I managed to get to the 100 cells and by careful plotting, pulled some more out of the Halloween book. I didn't feel like I took much away from my race contributions, but it was all about timing and worth it to me.

My team is frustrated enough that we're struggling to get to 15 when we used to get to 25 laps.

Very happy to find that this entire event was possible for F2P. Took some serious dedication in the upper two rounds, but I managed to pull it off.

I'm very excited about this change. Space has been an issue for me and gems are hoarded and spending them in the vault had been necessary, but not appreciated. This will give me much needed space and time to regroup my habitats and hatch. More keys coming in the monthly calendar is great, too.

Welcome to the community! The xmas dungeon is a bonus one that if completed all 4 weeks results in a legendary monster, so I'm guessing that's why the level of the first node is set where it is.

Secondly, and this one took my awhile to figure out, there are several dungeons available everyday. Make sure to scroll right and you should find your normal food and gold resource dungeon, but don't be afraid to attempt the others and claim what you can in them. Eventually your monsters will get strong enough to get through them.

Sounds like you've been gone for a while, so one thing to know is that all epic breeding times are now the same length - 1 day 9 hours, without the guardian on.

My team is trying something new to us and we're buying a pack or two of requested cells for each other and trading. It will end up adding to the amount we get for 14 gems. I also always buy out the gold ones for the small point boost.

Thanks SP. Getting Alex for 30 gems was a good day's work. Looking forward to seeing how the 24 hr challenge goes.

It's Pixelion. And I'm fairly ticked about. I ranked him up and after seeing this realized my point count was short. If the monster is not the desired outcome, it shouldn't count as breedable. I even want to argue that if Monstergram doesn't label the monster as breedable, it shouldn't count as breedable.

My personal guess would be during the grand prix sometime to distract gems one way or the other.

I've enjoyed these events in the past. A week left me with enough time to hatch monsters that have been sitting in storage for ages and devote time to ranking up others. Last time around, the points needed were increased, but I could still get some chests.

This time we have 3 days. That isn't even close to be workable without investing gems. I'm still doing a little to try to get the first chest or two, but the third is out of my reach and it's frustrating to see what was a fun event become something only for those who buy gems.

While the gems in dungeons decreased, I did notice we now have one more daily gem in goals, which balances that out.

But the chance of getting gems in roulette is gone - I guess the treasure rooms replace those.

At the end of week 1, I was able to keep up with them without begging for stamina, so that's a good thing.

I wanted to rearrange two islands recently. I ended up having to store an island and move monsters to my vault because there just isn't physically enough space left to juggle them.

I don't need the full Clash of Clans idea of building on a separate area, but the swap feature they have that allows two buildings of the same size to be swapped would be really nice.
